The sentence this feminist 'influencer' faces for hate crimes
Last Tuesday, she was judged by the Provincial Court of Madrid
María Pozo Baena is a feminist activist and social media influencer, known on the platform X as 'Barbijaputa.' Last Tuesday, she was tried by the Provincial Court of Madrid.
The process is due to the publication of a series of messages in which she expressed rejection toward the Jewish community. Additionally, she made positive references to Hitler and the Nazi regime.
Due to these messages, she has been accused of committing hate crimes against the community. As stated in the Penal Code, this constitutes a crime against essential rights and public freedoms in its form of incitement to discrimination and hatred.
Additionally, it also constitutes a crime against essential rights and public freedoms in its form of defamation against the group, committed through the Internet.

That's why the Prosecutor's Office has requested a sentence of 1 year and 9 months in prison, along with a fine of 3,000 euros. Additionally, it has requested the disqualification from using social media on the Internet during the duration of the sentence.
The events date back to 2011. It was then that her messages began, in which she showed her deepest rejection of the Jewish community and publicly expressed her admiration for the figure of Hitler.
Among the comments that could be considered a hate crime are several. "Hitler was a bastard for killing the Jews and a loser for not finishing the job. Now look at what happens."
She went as far as to publish "What would be more appropriate: eliminate all of Israel or just the Jews?" "The ones I liked the most were the Jews, very fond of the Jews. If they were alive, not so much," she explained.
The Prosecutor's report includes messages up to 2016 and notes that each of them caused dozens of interactions. This caused "a great negative impact and unease" in the Jewish community.

Alternatively, the prosecutor suggests considering a defamation crime against the group according to the 2015 legislation. It is the most favorable for the accused, with a sentence of one year and nine months in prison.
Initially, Pozo Baena used her account to make personal claims. However, little by little, she escalated to making feminist claims.
"Thanks to feminist awareness, the machismo that previously went unnoticed by me was, little by little, becoming clear before my eyes."
