This news has come to light shortly after the news of her dismissal. This follows her controversial management in the position she held for years.
Following the recent leak, several researchers have celebrated María Blasco's departure, although they believe her departure "comes eight years late." Nonetheless, they trust that "justice will finally be served."
Meanwhile, the board will meet extraordinarily at the Ministry of Science headquarters at 11:00 a.m. in a session lasting approximately two hours.
In this meeting, the continuity or dismissal of the foundation's governing bodies will be addressed. Special emphasis will be placed on the reports presented by María Blasco and the manager Juan Arroyo, who will not be present.
Despite the accusations, Blasco has tried to remain in her position, aligning herself with the Government's discourse. More specifically, denouncing what she describes as "hoaxes and misinformation." In her statement, she claims she has no intention of resigning and accuses certain critical media of spreading falsehoods, referring to them as "pseudo-media."

In an attempt to defend herself, she has resorted to a victimizing discourse. She even went so far as to compare her situation to the persecution suffered by Jews during the Holocaust.
According to El Debate, Blasco claims to have been the target of insults, attacks, and even death threats. In addition to pointing out the speed with which "a campaign of misinformation and rumors" has spread on social networks and media.
Her comparison with the "dehumanization" of Jews in Nazi Germany has caused controversy. Especially because her statement coincides with the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.
