Orange stirs things up once again: a new victim falls into its trap once more.
A user reports that his mother has been deceived by the company and requests immediate action.
There is a new controversy involving Orange. A user has reported through social media a scam suffered by his mother. She is over 90 years old, and the events took place in one of the company's stores in Vallecas.
This incident once again puts the operator's commercial practices under scrutiny. It is not the first time it has been involved in situations of this kind.
A Poisoned Gift from Orange
According to the user's post, his mother was offered a gift in the form of headphones at a price of 0.01 euros (approximately $0.01). However, what seemed to be an attractive offer concealed a trap. It would completely change the victim's phone contract conditions.

The employee, without adequately warning her, presented the gift with a payment plan in convenient installments over 24 months. However, what seemed like a simple gift ended up involving a commitment with Orange. This means that the lady would be tied to a contract, with a penalty of 329 euros (approximately $347) in case of early cancellation.
But it doesn't end there. According to the user's complaint, the woman was also offered a second mobile line. However, the corresponding SIM card never arrived at her home, highlighting the unfulfilled promises by the operator.
Regarding the signed contract, the complainant claims that there is no signature or authorization from his mother, which makes the situation even more serious.
The user describes the employee who attended to his mother as "shameless." He accuses her of acting deceitfully by not providing clear information about the contract conditions and not obtaining her consent properly.

Orange and Its Ethics Protocols
One of the main concerns of users is the lack of transparency and clarity in the information provided to customers. The contract conditions, such as commitment and penalties, should be detailed precisely, especially before the customer signs any agreement.
The user's complaint raises the question of why these failures in the customer service system are not corrected, especially when it comes to vulnerable customers, such as the elderly.
The complainant calls on the operator to take strong measures and review the internal customer service protocols. He also urges actions against the franchises that don't follow the quality and ethical standards established by the company.
The lack of a satisfactory reply in situations like this could seriously affect Orange's reputation, as it has already been the subject of numerous complaints in the past.
