Goodbye McDonald's: Burger King 'Gives away' products starting today in the US
At Burger King, June kicked off with a new development that's got everyone talking about across America
Summer has started in the best way for fast food lovers in the United States. Fast food chain Burger King has launched an initiative that hasn't gone unnoticed. It's a proposal that promises to challenge its biggest rival: McDonald's
Starting June 1, Burger King is celebrating its 71st anniversary with a very special promotion. Throughout the month, it will give away classic products and new items to members of its loyalty program. Burgers, appetizers, and 2-for-1 deals will be distributed among those who are part of Royal Perks.

Gifts throughout June
Burger King was founded in 1954 under the name Instant Burger King, a year before McDonald's. In 1957, it revolutionized the menu with the Whopper, its signature burger, which at that time cost only 37 cents. Since then, it hasn't stopped innovating with products like nuggets, wraps, breakfasts, and desserts.
This year, the chain has decided to reward its customers with a series of daily gifts. On June 1, it started with a free Whopper with a minimum purchase of $3. On June 4, for National Cheese Day, it offers free Mozzarella Fries (4 pieces) with just a $1 purchase.
On June 15, for Father's Day, the promotion will be a classic BOGO Whopper: buy one, get another at no cost. On June 22, onion ring fans are in luck, as they can order a free serving of Onion Rings, any size, according to All Recipes.

Additionally, between June 1 and June 30, a BOGO Impossible Whoppers promotion will be active. This means that throughout the month you can enjoy a second plant-based burger at no extra cost. It's an option also designed for those who prefer meatless alternatives.
A movie-themed menu that surprises
Alongside these promotions, Burger King has taken advantage of the release of How to Train Your Dragon to launch a themed menu. It's not the first time it has done this: it has already collaborated with movies like Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse or The Addams Family. This time, the proposal has a spicier and more visual touch.

The star is the Dragon Flame-Grilled Whopper, with red and orange-tinted bun, flame-grilled beef, bacon, cheese, tomato, and more. It's accompanied by Fiery Dragon Mozzarella Fries, coated with Calabrian chili breading and filled with melted mozzarella. It's a combination that aims to surprise from the very first bite.
To drink, there's the Soaring Strawberry Lemonade, made with natural strawberry juice. And for dessert, the Viking's Chocolate Sundae, with vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, and cookie pieces. The menu is available at US locations for a limited time, starting May 27.
