Goodbye McDonald's: Burger King delivers the most anticipated news in the US

Burger King responds strongly to the competition and launches a campaign that is capturing all the attention in the U.S

The world of fast food never ceases to surprise. The most popular chains are constantly looking for new ways to attract customers. This time, one of them has taken a step forward that is generating a lot of buzz.

Starting May 28, Burger King will give away burgers in celebration of National Burger Day. The promotion consists of getting a free burger with any purchase of one dollar or more. This offer, much desired by the chain's fans, has sparked a wave of comments on social media and has left its direct competitor, McDonald's, in the background.

A Week Full of Irresistible Gifts

Burger King hasn't limited itself to a single offer. From May 22 to May 28, it has launched a different promotion each day for members of its loyalty program, Royal Perks. It is only necessary to place a $1 order in the app or on the website and activate the corresponding offer in the "Offers" tab.

The gift calendar started on the 22nd with a free cheeseburger, on the 23rd, it was the turn for a Whopper Jr, and on the 24th a Frozen Fanta Strawberry was given away. On the 25th, nuggets arrived, and today, May 26, the promotion is a 2-for-1 on Whoppers. Tomorrow, May 27, an Original Chicken Sandwich can be obtained at no extra cost, according to All Recipes.

But the main event arrives on the 28th: a free burger with just a one-dollar spend. Additionally, throughout May, a burger can be obtained for only 125 points from the Royal Perks program. This represents a 50% discount in points compared to the usual redemption and can only be redeemed once per account.

A Movie Menu and Lots of Creativity

As part of its strategies, Burger King has also taken advantage of the upcoming release of the live-action version of the movie How to Train Your Dragon. Starting May 27, the chain is launching a special menu inspired by the movie, with visually striking products and bold flavors.

The Dragon Flame-Grilled Whopper stands out for its bun dyed with reddish tones and natural spices. It includes flame-grilled meat, cheese, bacon, fresh vegetables, ketchup, and mayonnaise. Accompanying the burger, the Fiery Dragon Mozzarella Fries return, a spicy version of the classic cheese fries.

The menu is completed with the Soaring Strawberry Lemonade and a dessert called Viking's Chocolate Sundae, with chocolate syrup and cookie pieces. Everything will be available for a limited time and coincides with the opening of the new Universal Epic Universe park in Orlando, a strategic move that combines cinema, food, and entertainment.

With these actions, Burger King not only celebrates National Burger Day but also makes a clear difference from its competition. Generous promotions, thematic creativity, and irresistible prices make many already say goodbye, at least for a while, to other chains.
