Burger King stands up to McDonald's in the United States: customers are thrilled
Burger King and McDonald’s continue their competition to attract fast food lovers in the United States
In the middle of the summer season, fast food chains are competing for consumers' attention and taste buds with new offerings. Burger King has decided to go big and not go unnoticed, especially in such a competitive market as the United States. The chain has launched a new item that's causing a sensation among barbecue fans.
Burger King has introduced its new "BBQ Brisket Whopper," a sandwich inspired by its customers' preferences. This launch is part of the "Whopper by You" platform, which allows consumers to suggest combinations for their ideal burgers. The chain states that this model, where the user decides, is designed to keep the essence of its slogan "Have It Your Way."

The taste of Texas arrives at Burger King
The "BBQ Brisket Whopper" features one of the most prized delicacies from the southern United States: slow-cooked brisket, which is very typical of Texan barbecues. This ingredient is the star of the new sandwich, which also includes crispy onions, American cheese, and a sweet, golden barbecue sauce. All of this is placed on a juicy quarter-pound (113 g) beef patty, which is also topped with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise.
For those who prefer a slightly smaller bite, Burger King also offers the "Whopper Jr." version with the same ingredients but in a reduced size, according to Southern Living. This option broadens the product's appeal for those who want to enjoy without excess. The public's response has been swift, and it is already being said that many users are delighted with this combination that brings back traditional flavors.
Joel Yashinsky, Burger King's chief marketing officer for the United States and Canada, explained that the "Whopper by You" initiative was created so customers could design the perfect burger. "With the BBQ Brisket Whopper, we're launching the project with a recipe that directly responds to our followers' requests," he said.

Direct competition for McDonald’s?
The arrival of this southern-flavored burger represents a direct challenge to McDonald’s, the other major chain that dominates the U.S. market. While McDonald’s keeps to classics and limited-time offers, Burger King has chosen a bolder approach focused on customization.
Additionally, the "BBQ Brisket Whopper" comes at a time when many consumers are seeking more authentic and distinctive options, leaving generic formulas behind. Barbecue, with its smoky aroma and intense flavor, represents that unique touch users appreciate. To top it off, this burger will only be available for a limited time, which adds an element of exclusivity.
Going to the drive-thru to enjoy the authentic taste of Texas, without having to deal with the heat or the time required for barbecue, is very convenient and appealing for many. Now, all that remains is to see whether this offering is kept and becomes a permanent part of Burger King's menu in the United States.
