This Is How PSOE Demonstrates Its Hypocrisy with Its Former Mayor of Móstoles
Posse maintains all her organic positions in the party despite being indicted
PSOE of Móstoles is once again embroiled in controversy, this time due to the case of the former socialist mayor, Noelia Posse. The leader is being investigated in a trial for an alleged corruption case, in addition to facing another accusation for irregular contract splitting. Despite the seriousness of the accusations, the party has decided not to remove her from her positions, allowing her to maintain her role in the organization, according to El Confidencial.
Posse, along with 28 other people and seven companies, is being investigated by the Investigating Court number 5 of Móstoles. The charges include possible crimes such as influence peddling, embezzlement of public funds, and malfeasance.

The case investigates alleged irregularities in the contracting of services for the communication department. There, contracts were allegedly split to avoid administrative controls and award the contracts directly.
If true, these accusations would directly conflict with PSOE's Ethical Code. It establishes that public officials must resign as soon as the oral trial against them begins.
Despite this, the party has decided not to apply this regulation. It has caused a lack of coherence from Sánchez's Government by keeping Posse in her functions within the party.
This is not the only legal front the former mayor faces. Posse is also being tried in the so-called ITV case.

Driven by Más Madrid Ganar Móstoles, its government partner at the start of the last legislature. The accusation claims that the former mayor and her councilors allegedly committed malfeasance and embezzlement.
This allegedly by forgiving a debt to the company ITV Móstoles SL, which was forgiven the annual fee of 133,000 euros for the exploitation of a public plot.
In 2020, the local Government Board approved a 50% reduction in that payment. This meant a forgiveness of almost 2.5M euros.
This measure was rejected by the secretary and the auditor of the City Council. They were dismissed by Posse, but were later reinstated by court order, according to the cited newspaper.
