The Double Standard of the Left in Radical Feminism
The double standard is exposed, the feminist struggle seems to be a priority only when it serves to attack the right.
Every March 8, the left presents itself as a defender of feminism, filling the streets with speeches of equality and social justice. However, this advocacy is overshadowed by accusations of sexual harassment against two of its figures, Juan Carlos Monedero and Íñigo Errejón.
The silence within the progressive ranks contrasts with the forcefulness with which they usually point out similar cases in other political spheres. This double standard highlights the lack of consistency of a left that prefers to look the other way when their own are involved.
Monedero, Removed from UCM Amid a Complaint
The Complutense University of Madrid has removed Juan Carlos Monedero from teaching following a complaint of alleged sexual harassment. The co-founder of Podemos is not currently teaching classes while the Services Inspection investigates the accusation made by a student.
Although the university argues that his departure is due to a medical leave, the measure has been adopted following pressure from the students. The faculty has hired a substitute professor for the courses Monedero taught in the degrees of Law, Politics, and International Relations.

The student community has expressed their concern, formally requesting the separation of the professor while the case is solved.
The 'Errejón Case' Advances in Court
Íñigo Errejón, former deputy and co-founder of Podemos, is being investigated for an alleged sexual assault on actress Elisa Mouliáa. Judge Adolfo Carretero has summoned several witnesses, including relatives of the complainant, to clarify what happened at a private party.
Errejón's defense has requested to delay some statements, while the investigation continues with new evidence requested by the judge. The magistrate has demanded the complete conversation between the actress and a friend, partially published on social media.
Additionally, they are tracking the taxis both used that night to reconstruct the route and possible encounters between them.

Selective Feminism on the Left
While the left fills its mouth with feminist speeches, the response to these cases has been lukewarm and evasive. No party has demanded the immediate expulsion of Monedero or Errejón, as they have done with political rivals in similar situations.
The double discourse is exposed: the feminist struggle seems a priority only when it serves to attack the right. The complicit silence and lack of self-criticism reveal a hypocrisy that discredits true feminist claims. Time will tell if the left is capable of applying its own measuring stick to its leaders or will continue to sweep the dirt under the rug.
