
Warnings in 5 Areas of Spain for Snow and Rain in the Coming Hours
AEMET has issued several warnings for snowfall and precipitation throughout today.
The State Meteorological Agency has issued yellow alerts in various regions of Spain due to the forecast of snow and rain in the coming hours.
These weather conditions could affect several areas of the country, so it is recommended to stay alert to weather updates.

AEMET Activates Alerts for Snow Accumulation
Snow warnings have been activated in the following areas:
- Pirineo Oscense: Snow accumulation of up to 2 in. (5 cm) is expected, with the snow level situated between 2,297 and 2,953 ft. (700 and 900 meters).
- Pirineo de Lleida: Forecasts indicate similar accumulations, with the snow level also between 2,297 and 2,953 ft. (700 and 900 meters).
- Pirineo de Girona: Similar conditions are anticipated, with accumulations of up to 2 in. (5 cm) and a snow level between 2,297 and 2,953 ft. (700 and 900 meters).
These snowfalls could hinder mobility in these areas, especially in mountainous regions and elevated passes.

Other Areas Alerted for Snow
Additionally, AEMET has issued snow warnings in other mountainous regions:
- Sistema Central in Soria: Snow accumulation of up to 2 in. (5 cm) is expected, with the snow level fluctuating between 2,953 and 4,593 ft. (900 and 1,400 meters).
- Serranía de Guadalajara: Similar accumulations are expected, with the snow level situated between 4,265 and 4,593 ft. (1,300 and 1,400 meters).
These conditions could affect roads and rural paths, so caution is advised when traveling through these areas.

AEMET Also Activates Alerts for Rain
AEMET has also issued yellow alerts for heavy rain in the following areas:
- Ibiza and Formentera: Rain accumulation of up to 2.4 in. (60 mm) is expected in the coming hours.
- Northern Coast of Alicante: Forecasts indicate accumulations of up to 2.4 in. (60 mm) in this area.
- Levante Almeriense: An accumulation of 2.8 in. (70 mm) is expected in 24 hours. At some point, up to 0.8 in. (20 mm) could fall in just one hour.
These rains could cause local flooding and water accumulation in low-lying areas.
