Up to 75 Degrees: Roberto Brasero Says Which Cities Will Feel Like Spring This Friday

The expert has made it clear that the end of this week is going to be much more pleasant than the beginning was.

Spain is facing a significant weather change that will bring a notable rise in temperatures. According to Roberto Brasero, this Thursday we will already begin to notice that thermal increase in the afternoon. However, it will be on Friday when the rise becomes more evident in much of the country.

The Thermal Rise Begins This Thursday

The day will start with a colder dawn than in previous days, which might make one think that winter is still holding its ground. However, as the day progresses, the thermometers will begin to rise, and in many cities, values more typical of spring than February will be reached.

However, the most drastic change will be noticed on Friday, assures Roberto Brasero. That day the increase will be widespread in the interior of the Peninsula, except in areas where fog banks persist, and in the Balearic Islands. In the peninsular coasts and the Canary Islands, there will be hardly any changes.

As for the minimums, they will rise on Friday in most of the territory, except in Galicia and the peninsular Mediterranean coasts, where they will decrease. In the Balearic Islands, they will remain stable, and in the Canary Islands, a slight decrease is expected.

Roberto Brasero Warns: Friday With Unusual Temperatures

Friday will be, therefore, when many cities reach clearly atypical temperatures for this time of year. According to Roberto Brasero's forecasts, Madrid will reach 59°F (15°C), Segovia 60.8°F (16°C), Santander 62.6°F (17°C), and Pontevedra 64.4°F (18°C).

In the south and the east, the weather will be even warmer. There will be 66.2°F (19°C) in Jaén, 68°F (20°C) in Córdoba, 69.8°F (21°C) in Castellón, 71.6°F (22°C) in Valencia, Alicante, and Granada, and up to 75.2°F (24°C) in Murcia.

But the rise announced by Roberto Brasero will not stop there. The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has also confirmed that cities like Zaragoza will reach 68°F (20°C) on Friday. Seville and Bilbao could reach 69.8°F (21°C), an unusual figure for the Biscayan capital at this time.

In Tenerife, up to 71.6°F (22°C) is expected, while in other areas like Badajoz, Almería, Huelva, Málaga, and Ourense, the thermometers will mark 66.2°F (19°C).

A February With Spring-Like Hues

The fact that thermometers exceed 68°F (20°C) in several areas of the Peninsula is striking in the middle of winter. Although February usually leaves some episodes of mild temperatures, this thermal rise is particularly notable for its extent and duration.

It remains to be seen if this situation, which Roberto Brasero warns about, will continue in the coming days. For now, everything points to these days being marked by a much milder environment than usual.
