Barcelona Activa's Stand Designed by 118 Studio Conquers ISE 2025 Fair
A project that highlights the creative, audiovisual, and technological talent of the city
From February 4 to 7, the Gran Via venue of Fira Barcelona has been the stage for the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025 fair, the most influential global event in the audiovisual and technological sector. The edition has reached a record attendance with 85,351 visitors from 168 countries.
It represents a key platform for companies, investors, and professionals, who find in ISE a point of connection, idea exchange, and networking in an ever-evolving industry.
Attendees have been able to experience the latest in integrated audiovisual systems, including emerging technologies such as augmented and virtual reality, state-of-the-art sound mechanisms, and smart lighting solutions.
Barcelona, recognized for its dynamism and ability to attract talent, has had a prominent participation through its 256m² (256m²) institutional stand, driven by the Barcelona City Council and Barcelona Activa (Agency responsible for promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and employment in the city).
Claim of 118 Studio's design: "Look and Feel"
Under the slogan "Look and Feel," 118 Studio designed the stand with a focus that combined the visual aesthetics (look) and the sensory experience (feel) of the visitor. This idea aimed to create an immersive area that highlighted user interaction and the technologies presented under the principles of continuity, technology, and connection.
The inspiring concept: "Barcelona, Where Creativity Flourishes"
118 Studio carried out the stand design based on the idea that the city is an ecosystem where creativity and innovation converge and flow to drive progress.
The space concentrated a demonstration of local creative and audiovisual talent and became a meeting point for the local and international ecosystem.
This exhibition has not only offered information about the multiple opportunities that Barcelona provides to companies. It has also become a meeting point where creativity and technology have joined hands to demonstrate that Barcelona is a benchmark on the international scene.
The space was conceived as a dynamic meeting point that integrated elements highlighting the city's identity. It was defined in four zones with a system of lines and vertical openings that facilitated an intuitive interior flow.
• Reception to access the venue that has hosted the "Barcelona International Welcome Desk."
• "Barcelona Creativity Showroom," an experiential tour in which six companies have showcased their technological and creative proposals: SEEDSXR, FEDE SWITCH & LIGHT, blit.studio, IT'S ON SYNC, FLOP WORK, and GLASSY FILMS.
• "Beyond the Screen," the artistic installation developed by DOMESTIC DATA STREAMERS, has shown content caused in real-time by visitors. The proposal consisted of digital installations that transcend the standard two-dimensional screen to create three-dimensional artistic works with which visitors have interacted through AI. This initiative has invited the public to reflect on how technology shapes perspectives.
• "Agora," a versatile area to foster professional connections and where presentations and round tables on industry trends have been organized.
Materials such as black melamine board were used in the work, providing a modern and elegant base to the design. Additionally, a cement effect was incorporated, creating an industrial texture that contrasted with other pieces.
To add warmth and naturalness, white pine slats were used to enhance brightness and soften the atmosphere. Finally, LED tubes were added to the wooden columns to highlight specific areas.
Barcelona: A Hub of Engineering, Creative Development, and Entrepreneurship
Barcelona's participation in ISE 2025 not only reaffirms its commitment to the technological field but also consolidates its role as a strategic hub in the global economy. It has successfully combined its cultural richness with an innovative context that favors the expansion of emerging and multinational companies.
For 118 Studio, this project has been an opportunity to reflect the city's values and contribute to its positioning as a leader in the audiovisual and technological field.
