The Problem Orange Users Suffer: You'll Fix It More Easily Than Expected

Some customers complain about the continuous interruptions they experience when watching Orange TV.

Some Orange users have expressed their complaints in various forums about recurring issues with the company's television. Specifically, they complain about frequent interruptions and pauses in the Orange TV signal. They range from 15 to 30 seconds.

At first glance, this might seem like a technical failure affecting the operator. But the reality is that, in many cases, the problem lies in a poor network configuration. Fortunately, the solution is quite simple and will only take us a few minutes.

What's Happening with the Orange TV Signal?

Recently, an Orange user shared in the Orange Community that the Orange TV signal was constantly cutting out. Initially, he thought it was a problem related to the operator. But upon contacting technical support, he discovered that the cause was different.

The problem was related to an overload on the 2.4 GHz network of his router. This prevented the bandwidth from being sufficient to meet the data demand of connected devices. Especially those that require more speed like television.

This overload occurs when there are too many devices connected to the 2.4 GHz network. This causes the internet connection to be unstable, affecting services like streaming television. In these cases, interruptions in the Orange TV signal are more common, as television is one of the most demanding applications in terms of data consumption.

The Solution Is Within Your Reach

Although the situation might seem complicated, the solution is much simpler than it appears. Moreover, it doesn't require the intervention of Orange technical support. In fact, it is enough to make a small modification in the router configuration to improve the experience with Orange TV.

The first thing we can do is change the network to which our Smart TV is connected. If we are using the 2.4 GHz network, it is advisable to switch to the 5 GHz network, which offers greater bandwidth and less interference.

This is especially useful if we have few devices connected to the network. The 5 GHz network is faster and can better support the data demand.

To change the network to which our Smart TV is connected, we only need to follow a few steps. Access the Orange router configuration menu. Here we can see the available Wi-Fi networks and select the 5 GHz network.

Additionally, in the router configuration menu, we can also see the devices connected to each network. If we notice that some devices are not being used or are not necessary at that moment, we can disconnect them. Especially to reduce the overload on the 2.4 GHz network.

By doing so, the networks will be less congested and our connection will be more stable. This will result in a better experience when watching Orange TV.
