Official Statement From Bbva About Their Atms: From Now on They'll Control Them More
BBVA presents its new app that will facilitate the use of ATMs for blind people and customers with disabilities
BBVA has taken another firm step toward innovation and inclusion. The banking entity has launched a mobile application available for iOS and Android that promises to transform the ATM experience.
The new app is designed for blind people, those with mild physical or intellectual disabilities and also benefits the elderly. With more than 6,300 ATMs spread across the bank's network, this tool promises a simpler, safer and more accessible operation.

BBVA Presents an App That Opens New Horizons
For more than a year, BBVA has worked on the development of this solution, in close collaboration with Ilunion Tecnología y Accesibilidad. In addition to a pilot group made up of more than 50 clients with disabilities.
The trials have allowed the collection of essential suggestions, turning the app into a perfect tool for those who encounter barriers in using traditional ATMs. The application intuitively guides blind people, helping them locate and use the ATM of their choice without setbacks.
The main challenge overcome with this innovation is accessibility. Traditional ATMs, being primarily tactile, have posed an obstacle for many clients. With the new app, the experience is radically transformed.

Blind people can operate the ATMs without complications, while those with mild physical or intellectual disabilities find an ally that facilitates each operation. Even the elderly can notice the difference and feel more secure when withdrawing cash in a familiar and reliable environment.
BBVA doesn't stop at accessibility; the banking entity also bets on security. In the coming weeks, improvements will be introduced that will allow users to access the app through fingerprint recognition. This is a high-security biometric method.
Additionally, identification at the ATM will be carried out through NFC technology, eliminating the need to insert the card. This advancement not only optimizes the process but also facilitates the operation for those who face difficulties handling credit or debit cards.

BBVA's Commitment to Its Clients
BBVA's commitment goes beyond technological innovation. Data from INE and Ilunion, a group of social companies of ONCE, indicate that 9% of the population has some type of disability. This figure increases to 15% when including minor limitations.
In the face of this reality, BBVA recognizes the importance of developing accessible solutions. Both its corporate website and its other applications have been designed to be fully accessible. The new BBVA app for everyone joins these services, allowing clients to interact with ATMs easily and without barriers.
The commitment to technology and accessibility positions BBVA as a modern and committed banking entity. Clients, especially those with special needs, now have a tool that improves their daily operations and strengthens their confidence.

A New Era in Banking Experience
BBVA establishes itself as a pioneer in accessible solutions for its ATMs. This initiative, the result of collaboration between experts and users, opens the door to a user experience adapted to everyone's needs. With the launch of the app, BBVA drives a future in which every client, regardless of their abilities, feels part of the banking world.
