'Notable Rise': Cold Warning for the Coming Hours in Spain
Stability is taking its place and extreme cold warnings are disappearing
After several days of intense cold, the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has confirmed a widespread rise in temperatures across Spain starting tomorrow, February 10. Both minimum and maximum temperatures will progressively increase, reducing frost in much of the territory. The snow level will also rise, exceeding 5,249 ft. (1,600 meters) in the Pyrenees.
AEMET has highlighted that this change will be especially noticeable in the northern peninsula. It has stated that there will be a "notable rise in minimum temperatures in the Pyrenees."

However, this thermal increase will not mean the disappearance of clouds. These will remain present in several regions, and some drizzles are expected in the Strait and Canary Islands.
Temperature Rise Across Spain
Starting from Monday morning, minimum temperatures will begin to rise, especially affecting the northern half of the country. In the Pyrenees, where the cold has been extreme in recent days, a considerable increase in nighttime values will be noticeable. In the rest of the country, minimums will also rise progressively, although the change will be more moderate in inland areas.
Regarding maximum temperatures, the trend marked by AEMET is also upward. During the day, many cities will experience milder values compared to previous days, which will be a relief after the days of intense cold.
Fog in the Atlantic and Rain in the Strait
Although the cold is subsiding, clouds will continue to be prominent in several areas of the country. In the Atlantic, fog is expected to form in the early hours of the day, which could reduce visibility in some places.

Additionally, the possibility of drizzles in the Strait and Canary Islands is not ruled out, although they will be weak and scattered. In general, significant rain is not expected in the rest of the country, although humidity will remain present in the environment.
Fewer Frosts and Rising Snow Level
One of the most notable effects of this thermal increase will be the reduction of frosts. In the inland peninsula, temperatures will no longer drop as much during the night, which will decrease the formation of ice on roads and rural areas.
Regarding snow, the level will rise above 5,249 ft. (1,600 meters) in the Pyrenees, limiting snowfall to higher altitude areas. In the rest of the country, snow precipitation will be unlikely, although some flakes could still be recorded in high points of the northwest.
