Gutiérrez expressed his gratitude toward the Ordóñez family, the Association of Victims of Terrorism

In the 39th edition of the Goya Awards, 'La Infiltrada' and 'El 47' shared the award for Best Film, an unprecedented event.

María Luisa Gutiérrez, producer of 'La Infiltrada,' dedicated the award to the victims of ETA terrorism. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of remembering Spain's recent history. She stated that historical memory must include recent events, such as the nearly 1,000 murders committed by ETA.

Gutiérrez expressed her gratitude toward the Ordóñez family, the Association of Victims of Terrorism, and the Collective of Victims of Terrorism in the Basque Country. She thanked them for their support despite the pain the film might have caused them. She highlighted the relevance of telling stories that should not be forgotten.

The producer underscored the effort and dedication required to make films in Spain. She noted that 'La Infiltrada' took eight years to reach theaters and is still being shown on 200 screens. She claimed that cinema is a symbol of resilience for producers.

She praised the film's team, especially director Arantxa Echevarría. She highlighted that, with a budget of six million euros, a quality thriller was achieved. She stated that it is possible to make good films with limited resources.

'La Infiltrada' is based on real events. Gutiérrez emphasized the responsibility of telling the story authentically.

She thanked the real infiltrator's partner and journalist Pablo Muñoz for their collaboration. She also acknowledged the Basques who reviewed the script to ensure its accuracy.

The producer shared the award with the real infiltrator and those who risk their lives for the common good and democracy. She defended freedom of expression, stating that it is essential to be able to say what one thinks, even if there are differences of opinion.

Gutiérrez also mentioned her partner Santiago Segura. She highlighted that the family comedies they produce allow them to finance more risky projects like 'La Infiltrada.' She stated that a healthy film industry needs both types of cinema.

Additionally, she made a call about the situation of the countryside in Spain. She recalled that agriculture and livestock are going through difficulties and are invisible sectors. She highlighted that without the countryside, we would haven'thing.

'La Infiltrada' tells the story of a National Police agent who infiltrates ETA. The film has been recognized for its bravery in addressing such a delicate topic and for its commitment to Spain's recent historical memory.

The 39th edition of the Goya Awards, held in Granada, was marked by speeches that advocated for various social and political causes. The shared recognition between 'La Infiltrada' and 'El 47' will go down in history as a milestone in Spanish cinema.
