Surprise at Verizon: the call many are waiting for and you could get today

Verizon is reaching out to a number of customers to offer them a very interesting promotion

Verizon has made an unexpected decision that could benefit many. If you are or were a customer of this carrier, you might soon receive a very special call. The company is directly and discreetly contacting certain users with an offer that's hard to refuse.

It consists of a completely free phone line for three years with their Unlimited Welcome plan. This promotion from the carrier aims to stop the massive customer exodus, a trend that has been increasing in recent months. The rise in mobile plan rates has caused many consumers to start exploring other, more affordable options.

Inflation and the rising cost of living have made many people think twice before continuing to pay high rates for their mobile services. In fact, according to a recent report, in 2024 Americans spent an average of $1,365 per year on cell phone service. This represents a 2% increase compared to the previous year.

Meanwhile, cable companies like Spectrum, Comcast, and Altice USA are growing rapidly. Especially by offering packages that combine television, internet, and mobile, allowing users to reduce their monthly expenses. In just the first three months of 2025, these companies added 886,000 new mobile customers.

Verizon's measures

Faced with this situation, Verizon has had to take action. During the first quarter of this year, the company lost almost 290,000 postpaid lines, which is considered its worst recorded performance. To stop that decline, it has launched this new promotion aimed at selected customers.

The offer consists of an additional line with the Unlimited Welcome plan that will be free for 36 months (three years). Verizon will apply monthly credits to cover the cost of the service, although the user will have to pay between $6 and $10 for taxes and administrative fees. There is no need to sign a contract and the service can be canceled at any time.

However, this promotion is only valid if the customer uses their own phone. It can't be combined with financing for a new device, and the free line doesn't include access to a mobile hotspot. After the three years of courtesy, the cost will become the regular price of $55 per month.

In addition to this strategy, Verizon has also chosen to improve its customer service through the use of artificial intelligence. Thanks to collaboration with Google Cloud, the company ensures more efficient problem resolution through its app, text messages, or calls.

This combination of better technology and exclusive promotions aims to regain customers' trust. It also seeks to keep competitive against new market offers. If you receive an unexpected call from Verizon, they might be offering you this opportunity.
