Urgent statement from Walmart to its members in the U.S.: only a few days left
There are only a few days left for Walmart members to take advantage of an exclusive opportunity they can't miss
In a year when consumer spending has become slightly more cautious, competition among major retailers to attract customers is heating up. Economic uncertainty and tariffs have led many to avoid impulse purchases, seeking the best deals. That's why the upcoming promotions are key for those who want to save.
Walmart has announced a special event that coincides with the well-known Amazon discount season in the United States. The difference is that this year Walmart will extend its deals and give early access to its Walmart+ members. This strategy aims to attract more shoppers and offers exclusive advantages that shouldn't be overlooked.

Walmart launches a discount event longer than Amazon Prime Day
The Walmart Deals event will begin at midnight on Tuesday, July 8 and will last until Sunday, July 13. It will run two days longer than the Amazon Prime Day event, which will take place from July 8 to July 11. For the first time, these deals will be available both in physical stores and on the online platform, according to The Street.
Walmart+ members will have early access to the promotions starting Monday, July 7 at 7 p.m. EST, which is more than a day before the official start. Among the most notable deals are a 32-inch Samsung smart monitor for $199, a 50-inch Vizio QLED TV for $238, and a Dyson V7 vacuum for $229.99.
Megan Crozier, executive vice president of general merchandise, stated that this event is vital for families looking to save during a season full of shopping. "We're bringing a wider selection of products, including wellness items and everyday essentials, so customers can save when it matters most," she explained.

Competition between Walmart and Amazon intensifies
Since September 2020, Walmart launched Walmart+ to compete directly with Amazon Prime. Although Amazon surpassed Walmart in quarterly sales for the first time in February 2025, with $187.8 billion compared to $180.5 billion, the battle remains close.
FactSet projects that Walmart will reach $708.7 billion in annual sales, while Amazon will come close with $700.8 billion. Walmart has strengthened its network of 4,700 stores, which also serve as rapid delivery centers, allowing them to deliver five billion products the same day in 2024.

In groceries, Walmart keeps a clear advantage. According to a Coresight Research survey, only 52% of Prime members buy groceries online at Amazon. Meanwhile, 79% of Walmart+ subscribers choose to buy their groceries at Walmart.
With these figures, it's clear that Walmart is making a strong push to gain ground this summer in the United States. Walmart+ members should get ready because there are only a few days left to take advantage of exclusive discounts that will make a difference in their shopping.
