Trader Joe's confirms breaking news about the chocolate it sells in the United States

Trader Joe's confirms a novelty related to its chocolate offerings that is generating interest among its customers

Many chocolate lovers are eagerly awaiting a novelty that will soon arrive at Trader Joe's stores. The supermarket chain has joined a trend coming directly from Dubai and promises to surprise its customers with a different sweet. However, the most relevant information about this product has been revealed just days before its launch.

Starting May 28, Trader Joe's will add to its shelves a pistachio chocolate bar, inspired by a traditional Middle Eastern dessert. The most striking thing is that this product will have a very affordable price, much cheaper than the original imported versions. According to a store employee on Reddit, the bar will be sold in the candy section and will be manufactured by Patislove, a brand specializing in craft-made chocolates.

The Chocolate Bar That Mixes Tradition And Affordability

The sweet that will arrive at Trader Joe's is inspired by the Pistachio Kataifi Chocolate Bar, a bar created by FIX Dessert Chocolatier in Dubai. This bar combines chocolate with pistachio cream, tahini, and kataifi, a type of shredded phyllo dough typical of Middle Eastern cuisine. Trader Joe's version replicates the main ingredients, keeping the essence of this very special recipe, for just $3.99.

For now, the product that will be distributed in the United States will be available only in dark chocolate, according to New York Post. This has caused some criticism on social media, as many consumers would prefer a milk chocolate option.

The original from Dubai stands out both for its flavor and its price: at Walmart, it costs up to $35.90, and at Nuts Factory, two bars are worth $49.99. In contrast, Trader Joe's price makes it one of the most affordable options to try this type of chocolate in the country.

Divided Opinions And High Expectations Among Customers

The Instagram account @traderjoesobsessed shared the news, and comments quickly emerged. Some users expressed disappointment over the absence of milk chocolate, "Why does it have to be dark and not milk?" asked a follower. Another added, "I wish there was a milk version, am I the only one who thinks Trader Joe's prefers dark chocolate?"

Despite this, many customers are excited to try the bar, "I can't wait!" commented a fan. Another added, "I love that it's dark chocolate," some even asked for the information to be kept secret to avoid crowds. "Please delete this post, let it be a secret," someone wrote humorously.

The Dubai chocolate phenomenon has also reached other supermarkets, like Costco, which launched a pistachio and kataifi chocolate ice cream. However, Trader Joe's version stands out for offering a similar, craft-made product that is much more accessible to the general public. Expectations are at their highest, and soon we will know if it meets all expectations.
