McDonald's gives the most anticipated news in the United States: it will be very soon
The fast food chain is preparing an announcement that could mark a turning point in its strategy in the U.S
Faithful followers of the fast-food chain, McDonald's, know that its menu offers options for all tastes. From its most classic burgers to original drinks, the brand always finds ways to surprise. Even so, every change generates great attention among those who frequently visit its locations.
Now, the company has confirmed something that many were eagerly waiting for. Since March 30, 2025, the famous Krispy Kreme donuts have been available in 2,400 restaurants, but their expansion will stop in the coming months. This news has been received with surprise, especially because their nationwide arrival seemed imminent.

The donuts stop... for now
The collaboration between both companies began in 2024 with a test in Louisville, Kentucky. The goal was to incorporate products like the Original Glazed and other popular varieties into the regular menu. Everything indicated that, little by little, they would be available in thousands of restaurants across the country.
But according to the latest financial report, the strategy has changed. Krispy Kreme has decided to pause its rollout in more locations during the second quarter of 2025, reports All Recipes. Although they still believe in the long-term potential, they have preferred to stop and analyze the situation cautiously.
This decision coincides with a delicate moment for McDonald's, which reported a 3.6% drop in sales in the first quarter. In that context, strategic alliances like this one become even more relevant. For now, those who enjoy the donuts will have to wait to see if the plan is reactivated later.

Unprecedented growth
Despite the pause in that collaboration, the chain has ambitious plans for the near future. McDonald's has announced the opening of 900 new restaurants in the United States by 2027. This expansion represents a growth of almost 7% compared to its current presence, according to The Sun.
Additionally, the company will hire up to 375,000 people just this summer. Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer participated in the announcement and highlighted the positive effect on communities. According to her, this type of initiative generates real opportunities for thousands of families.

Beyond the structural, McDonald's is also working on renewing its product offerings. Recently, it has launched the McCrispy Chicken Strips, an improved version of its classic chicken strips. The product has been well received and has been favorably compared to offerings from other chains.
Added to this is the tenth anniversary of the Archways to Opportunity educational program, which supports employee training. With each of these actions, McDonald's shows that its commitment goes far beyond selling burgers. The goal is clear: to consolidate even more in an increasingly demanding market.
