McDonald's throws cold water on the United States: Its customers are disappointed
The expectations of McDonald's followers in the United States clash with an unexpected decision by the chain
In the competitive world of fast food, every move by the major chains is closely watched by their followers. New offerings usually generate great anticipation and, when they don't reach all markets, they cause frustration among customers.
This time, McDonald's presents a special edition of one of its famous desserts: the Birthday Cake McFlurry. However, this dessert, which was launched this May exclusively in Canada to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the McFlurry, will not be available in other countries, such as the United States.

This is the McDonald's flavor that has won over its customers
The Birthday Cake McFlurry was created especially for Canada, where it has already been well received. This limited edition mixes the creaminess of vanilla ice cream with cake-flavored cookie dough pieces and a delicious syrup reminiscent of birthday cake. Although many Americans desired this new offering, it is not available in their restaurants at the moment, according to New York Post.
Comments from those who have already tried it quickly appeared on social media. Many users describe this version as "a delicious way to celebrate," while others rate it as "one of the best new flavors." Some consider it "a real game-changer" for McFlurrys, and several fans express that its taste is so good they wish it would stay permanently on the menu.

It is worth noting that the McFlurry has a history closely tied to Canada: it was invented in 1995 by a franchisee in Bathurst, New Brunswick. Since then, the variety of flavors has grown to exceed 20 options worldwide. However, some exclusive flavors, like this Birthday Cake, remain in the Canadian market.
CosMc's, McDonald's bet to revolutionize its beverages
Beyond desserts, McDonald's is determined to conquer the beverage market with its new line CosMc's. Launched in 2023 in Illinois, this brand offers curious combinations like the Churro Cold Brew Frappé and the Popping Pear Slush. They have become popular in the existing stores, mainly in Illinois and Texas.

McDonald's CEO confirmed that in 2025 these beverages will begin to be incorporated into selected restaurants in the United States, with the aim of competing with chains like Starbucks. Among the flavors that could reach more places are the Sprite Moonsplash, the Iced Churro Latte, and the Tropical Spiceade. This initiative seeks to refresh the usual offerings and attract new customers with original proposals.
With these new offerings, McDonald's not only responds to the demand of its followers but also positions itself at the forefront of innovation within the fast food sector. Brand lovers are alert and eager to discover what other surprises await them soon on the menu.
