A new arrest in Leganés has raised alarms. A Moroccan influencer with more than 100,000 followers on social media. All this within the framework of a joint operation between the Civil Guard and the General Directorate of Territorial Security of Morocco.
The arrest took place in the Zarzaquemada neighborhood, near Avenida Rey Juan Carlos. But this operation adds to another arrest made in Pontevedra, both linked to an investigation into jihadist radicalization.
The detainee in Leganés is Nordin Workout, an influencer known for posting videos of his physical transformation. On his website, he describes himself as follows:
"Nordin is one of the most influential pioneers in the practice of Calisthenics in the world. He was a competitor and is now one of the international judges. Member of the world federation and founder of the best calisthenics channel in Spanish NordinWorkout.
In his spare time, he likes to undertake and talk about spirituality."

Reebok even had him on their roster of athletes in calisthenics and workout. A young Moroccan who made a name for himself on social media for his fitness content. The truth is that it seems he wasn't only dedicated to that.
According to the authorities, he used his reach on social media to spread extremist propaganda, including slogans and audiovisual material from DAESH camouflaged among his sports posts.
The investigations revealed that these messages reached a wide audience, as some of the profiles involved had tens of thousands of followers. The operation had the support of EUROPOL, which provided assistance in analyzing the online activity of the suspects.
Authorities continue to investigate the network's reach and the possible recruitment of followers through these channels.
The Civil Guard has arrested three people in the province of Toledo for their alleged involvement in the dissemination of jihadist propaganda. The operation, led by the Central Investigative Court No. 2 and the National Court Prosecutor's Office, was carried out in collaboration with Morocco. Specifically, the General Directorate of Territorial Security of Morocco.

The investigations revealed that the arrested individuals were part of a group in an advanced stage of radicalization. One of them had a key role as an ideological leader, influencing both his close environment and the digital sphere. His persuasive ability even reached a minor, who was also arrested in the operation.
The detainees managed multiple profiles on social media and other platforms, using them to spread extremist content. According to the authorities, they accumulated a large amount of material linked to terrorist groups like DAESH, with a special interest in suicide attacks in conflict zones.
In total, seven people have been arrested in this operation, which aims to curb the spread of radical discourse and determine the level of involvement of each suspect. Two of the detainees have been sent to provisional prison by court order while investigations continue.
