Who are the dissident councilors standing up to Sánchez?
The Federal Executive Commission of the PSOE has decided to suspend them provisionally.
Pedro Sánchez continues to be a topic of discussion. The Federal Executive Commission of the PSOE has decided to provisionally suspend the membership of the councilwomen from the Santiago de Compostela City Council.
This has been confirmed by The Objective. It involves Mercedes Rosón Ferreiro, Milagros Castro Sánchez, and Marta Álvarez Vázquez. This is due to their refusal to appoint the municipal spokesperson approved by the local party leadership.
Meanwhile, the expulsion of councilman Gonzalo Muíños Sánchez has been agreed upon for refusing to comply with the resolution of the file and continuing to serve as spokesperson.
According to article 95.1 of the PSOE Statutes, the expelled individuals have a period of three days. A few days to present to the instructor designated by the Federal Executive the arguments and exculpatory evidence they deem pertinent.
After this period is exhausted, what is stipulated in article 341.1 of the PSOE regulations will be followed. This article establishes that various measures can be taken, such as definitively confirming the expulsion.
Also, replacing the provisional suspension with a precautionary suspension and referring the case to the corresponding body to continue with the disciplinary procedure, or closing the file and archiving the actions.
The provincial PSOE has explained that the expulsions are motivated by serious and very serious infractions contemplated in the party's internal rules. Among these offenses, "impeding or blocking the decisions and work of the organization's bodies" stands out.
The Woman Who Challenges Sánchez
On Friday, January 24, the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, made his arrival at Fitur discreetly. In the IFEMA facilities, an extensive security operation had been deployed prior to his visit to the Tourism Fair. However, some citizens decided to express their stance without fear, despite the presence of the large team of escorts and advisors joining the leader.
Shortly after the tour began, as he was leaving the Principality of Asturias stand, a brave woman dared to shout the following at the President of the Government: "Liar!" The moment was captured by EDATV's camera.
In the video, the evident anger of Pedro Sánchez's escorts and advisors can be seen, who immediately turned to see where the shouts were coming from. Likewise, it can be seen how, among the socialist's advisors, signals were made to identify the woman who dared to break with Moncloa's censorship protocol.
