Vox Denounces Leaks to Pro-eta Groups About the Location of Information Tables

According to Congresswoman Amaia Martínez, these leaks aim for those groups to prepare attacks against Vox supporters in the region.

Vox has reported that Guipúzcoa municipalities, managed by EH Bildu, leak the location of their information tables to pro-ETA groups. According to Deputy Amaia Martínez, these leaks aim for these groups to prepare attacks against Vox supporters in the region.

Martínez has expressed her concern for the safety of Vox members and supporters in Guipúzcoa. She has pointed out that these coordinated actions between local authorities and radical groups aim to curtail her party's freedom of expression and right to political participation.

The deputy has emphasized that despite threats and attacks, Vox will continue with its scheduled activities in the province. She has called on security forces to ensure the participants' safety. Additionally, measures should be taken against those attempting to sabotage their events.

This is not the first time Vox faces hostilities in the Basque Country. On previous occasions, pro-ETA groups have harassed and insulted party members during public events. These incidents reflect a climate of political tension in the region, where certain factions seek to prevent the presence of formations like Vox.

The formation led by Santiago Abascal has reiterated its commitment to defending its ideals and its right to express them throughout the national territory. They have urged other political parties and society in general to condemn these anti-democratic practices and to defend political plurality.

Vox has announced that it will take legal action against the municipalities and groups involved in these leaks and attacks. They seek to hold those responsible accountable and ensure respect for their constitutional rights.

Nine People Convicted for Boycotting a Vox Event in Bilbao in 2019

On November 5, 2019, days before the general elections, Vox attempted to hold a political event in Plaza de la Encarnación in Bilbao. A group of approximately 150 people gathered at the site and hurled insults such as "sons of bitches, fascists, racists, and homophobes" at the Vox members present.

Among the attendees was Nerea Alzola, the lead candidate for Congress for Vizcaya, who was assaulted by a woman and threatened by another person who claimed to know her address.

The Ertzaintza established a police cordon with officers equipped with riot gear to separate the protesters from Vox supporters. Despite the police presence, the electoral event could not proceed as planned.

It was not until 8:00 p.m. that the candidate and Vox supporters could leave the site after fearing for their physical safety due to the violence demonstrated by the protesters. One individual managed to breach the police cordon, although he was subsequently subdued.
