The Trail Followed by the UCO to Recover García Ortiz's Deleted Email Account
The latest report from the agents confirmed that the Attorney General deleted messages and his email account
The case of the Attorney General, Álvaro García Ortiz, continues to be on everyone's lips. The alarming report from the UCO confirmed what the government denied: that García Ortiz deleted messages and his email account.
The UCO of the Civil Guard has indicated that the WhatsApp messages from García Ortiz's mobile phone were deleted "up to two times" on October 16. The same day the Supreme Court (TS) opened a case against him.

As stated in the UCO report, "the lack of messages prior to October 16 on WhatsApp is mainly due to intentional emptying or deletion. This action was carried out on two occasions on the indicated day for all messages contained in the various conversations."
However, García Ortiz's deleted email account is another focus where the UCO is concentrating its efforts. But the agents are already looking for a way to recover that Gmail account to access that deletion.
Now, the UCO seeks to determine if the Attorney General opened that Gmail account from a device other than his mobile phone. That trace is what the agents are now pursuing to try to find a way to access that deleted account.

If so, and having logged in from another device, the UCO could follow that trail and retrieve everything that appeared in the account.
The Striking Call Received by Prosecutor García Ortiz Highlighted by the UCO
The latest UCO report puts the Attorney General, Álvaro García Ortiz, in check. The truth is that the agents highlight the call to García Ortiz "unrelated to the Prosecutor's Office." Specifically, from an informant of the Ser network who provided key data in advance.
On the night of March 13, the agents concluded that "there is no call, nor any attempt at communication," on that date. All from the "Attorney General's terminal (...) outside the scope of the Prosecutor's Office," with a single "exception."
It is from the Ser journalist Miguel Ángel Campos Peñarroja. The same one who "signs the press article, in the digital edition" of the radio network. At "11:51 PM, when excerpts from the email" of February 2 are published.
Precisely, the email whose "leak is being investigated" in the case opened against García Ortiz.
The last call listed is from the 13th. A list analyzed by the UCO for the professional number of the Public Ministry's head, and that call was with the chief provincial prosecutor of Madrid, Pilar Rodríguez. Let us remember, co-defendant in the Supreme Court case, at 11:05:28 PM.
Extraordinary Activity on García Ortiz's Mobile
The latest UCO report continues to tighten the noose around Prosecutor García Ortiz. The agents have highlighted the "extraordinary activity" recorded on the Attorney General's phone on March 13, 2024. A call traffic that, compared to other days, intensified.
That date corresponds just before several media outlets published verbatim excerpts from the email. The same one exchanged on February 2 between the lawyer of Isabel Díaz Ayuso's boyfriend and Prosecutor Julián Salto.
