Alerted by several calls, patrols from the Civil Guard and the Local Police of Xeresa went to the crime scene, where they found the body with evident signs of violence. From the Civil Guard Command in Valencia, they have confirmed that the victim is the former mayor of Gandía.
The authorities have opened an investigation led by the Organic Unit of Judicial Police to clarify what happened and identify the person responsible for the murder.
