This Was the Message Left for Monedero at His Door: 'a Fool Lives Here...'
New allegations of alleged sexual harassment have come to light against Juan Carlos Monedero, former leader of Podemos.
Last Saturday, a group of people placed a banner at the residence of Juan Carlos Monedero, co-founder of Podemos, with the message: "Attention, a filthy slob lives here and defends the dictatorship of Venezuela".
This act occurs amid an investigation by the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) following a sexual harassment complaint filed by a student against Monedero.
The UCM has initiated a confidential information file to clarify the facts, following the established protocol for these cases.
Ione Belarra, leader of Podemos, has defended the party's actions in response to the complaints, stating that they acted correctly upon learning of the testimonies.

Belarra has also criticized the media for their handling of the case, accusing them of attacking the party and not paying enough attention to the victims.
Additionally, old social media messages have intensified the internal crisis in Podemos. A message from Belarra in response to a post by Monedero in January 2024 has caused controversy, as it did not reflect distancing from him. Podemos has clarified that this message referred to a hoax about a file for criticism of Irene Montero, unrelated to the current accusations.

A Student of Monedero Confesses Alleged Sexual Harassment Behaviors
The scandal over alleged sexual harassment by Juan Carlos Monedero doesn't cease. The founder of Podemos has become a subject of debate in talk shows after several cases of alleged sexual harassment of university students and Podemos members were revealed.
New accusations of alleged sexual harassment have come to light against Juan Carlos Monedero, former leader of Podemos and university professor. Influencer and feminist activist Sindy Takanashi has compiled several testimonies from former students. They claim to have experienced inappropriate behavior from the teacher during their classes.
The young woman claimed that the Podemos member "touched their shoulders." "He had the habit of giving us little kicks, touching our shoulders, massaging us... He did it in front of anyone, he didn't care," one of the complainants points out in statements shared by Takanashi.
The influencer, who has a large audience on social media, already made some of these testimonies public in October 2024. Additionally, she claims to have more accounts that will be revealed in the coming days.
The accusations also include verbal assaults. "I and several friends have been his students in the Political Science degree. He called us 'bitches' and 'dairy cows' when we talked about our desire to be mothers," another complainant states anonymously.
