This Is the Podemos Supporter Who Encourages Shooting at VOX Deputies and Councilors

The provincial deputy of Murcia, Víctor Egío, has been the protagonist of an embarrassing scene in the parliament of the Region of Murcia. The member of Podemos made statements inciting hatred and violence against the deputies and councilors of VOX. Specifically, the representative of Irene Montero's party invited people to "shoot" at the members of Santiago Abascal's party.

During the session, Egío did not hesitate to express hatred and violence against VOX. "At Podemos, we always come with proposals, so they don't say we only criticize," he said before making the regrettable statements.

Who Is the Member of Podemos?

Víctor Manuel Egío García is a deputy of the coalition Podemos-Izquierda Unida Verdes-Alianza Verde in the Regional Assembly of Murcia. He currently serves as deputy spokesperson of the Mixed Parliamentary Group and is a member of the Education and Culture Committee. He is also part of the Territorial Policy, Environment, Agriculture, and Water Committee.

In addition to his parliamentary work, Egío García has been linked to the academic field. He has been an associate professor at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Murcia, where he has published works related to social services and the Welfare State.

Regarding his remuneration, according to available data, his gross annual salary as a deputy is 52,661.00 euros.

The Regrettable Action of the Podemos Deputy

The parliamentary groups of Podemos and Vox clashed again this Thursday in the Regional Assembly. This was due to Abascal's party's initiative to restore the practice of pigeon shooting in the Region of Murcia.

This is a hunting modality in which a live pigeon chick is launched, by hand or with a mechanical device, to be shot with a shotgun.

This modality was banned by the law for the Protection and Defense of Companion Animals in the Region of Murcia. However, Vox proposed a modification to this regulation, understanding that it was not considered that pigeon shooting "is a legal and recognized activity. And that it has a large number of followers in our community."

According to deputy Pascual Salvador, among the benefits they highlight, they claim it would "create jobs, promote tourism, and control the population of urban pigeons. Which have become a plague affecting public health and the well-being of citizens."
