This is how they've "rewarded" the inspector who initiated the case against Ayuso's boyfriend
This Thursday, the head of the Investigating Court has summoned González Amador to testify as a defendant.
The case of Ayuso's boyfriend is still present. More so after the latest move with the inspector who opened the file on Ayuso's boyfriend.
This is about Mercedes Urbano López de Meneses. On November 29, it was published in the BOE that the inspector was promoted from Hacienda D Especial. This new position means maintaining the same level she held on the date prior to the promotion.
However, it does involve "salary differences" related to "the specific supplement" and "productivity." This was reported by the newspaper El Debate in its digital edition.
According to the aforementioned media outlet through its sources, they point out that Mercedes doesn't have a very strong reputation among her colleagues. In fact, they express surprise at the decision made by the Presidency of the Ministry of Finance, led by María Jesús Montero. The truth is that, according to their account, Urbano "was not precisely the candidate with the best profile and merits" for the promotion.
The Suspicious Radical Change in the Prosecutor's Decision in the Case of Ayuso's Boyfriend
The case of Ayuso's partner is back in the news. More so after the new twist revealed by the prosecutor in the case. This involves Diego Lucas, who asks the judge to open a separate case and investigate Alberto González Amador.
All to clarify whether he committed a crime of business corruption in an operation where he warns of a possible "hidden commission." Last March, the Court of Instruction number 19 of Madrid opened a case against him for the crimes of tax fraud and forgery. The accusation intended to expand the charges, but the representative of the Public Ministry rejected it twice.
Prosecutor Lucas now focuses on the alleged payment of half a million euros from Ayuso's boyfriend to the wife of the president of Quirón Prevención.
The prosecutor considers that the operation was actually a "hidden commission." A report from the Tax Inspection assured that the company had no properties or employees and its assets "lacked value."
Suddenly, the prosecutor suspects that Ayuso's boyfriend used the company as an intermediary and simulated the billing of some services. All according to the prosecutor, for a "tax saving."
However, it's important to remember that the representative of the Public Ministry rejected twice the expansion of the charges.
It was in July when PSOE and Más Madrid, who are acting as the popular accusation against Ayuso's boyfriend, proposed expanding the catalog of crimes. All for disloyal administration and business corruption, which Lucas rejected on July 8.
In other words, the prosecutor refused to open a new line of investigation. In March, it happened similarly. Judge Inmaculada Iglesias opened proceedings against Ayuso's boyfriend.
After an email was revealed in which he admitted to the Prosecutor's Office having committed two tax crimes. All with the intention of reaching a plea agreement to avoid trial.
Then, the prosecutor also opposed the practice. As he explained, because "they don't refer to the object of the present case. And a possible extension of the object of the same is prohibited by article 17.3 in fine of the Criminal Procedure Law (LeCrim)."
The truth is that barely four months later, the prosecutor makes a radical turn. In his latest writing, dated January 8, Lucas maintains that there are no indications of the crime of disloyal administration that the popular accusations attribute to Ayuso's boyfriend. However, the representative of the Public Ministry sees possible irregularities for business corruption.
He also points out: "The defense hasn't provided any explanation as to why the investigated paid half a million euros to the wife of Fernando Camino. The president of Quirón Prevención, for a company that lacked value."
