Koldo's suspicious contacts that have put the UCO on alert
Among the contacts is Francisco Pardo Piqueras, director of the National Police
Koldo García, who was a trusted associate of José Luis Ábalos, is back in the spotlight. This time due to his contact list being very close to the leadership of the National Police and the Civil Guard.
Now it is the UCO that is analyzing all the relationships Koldo maintained during the time the scheme diverted public funds to commissions. One of the contacts listed on the device is Francisco Pardo Piqueras, director of the National Police. Also included is María Gámez, the director of the Civil Guard who resigned after her husband was charged in a judicial offshoot of the ERE case in Andalusia.
This investigation being carried out by the UCO is framed within the tip-off the scheme received just when they were being investigated. Before the arrests took place.
Let us remember that the network already had the help of Rubén Villalba, a commander of the Civil Guard. Now the UCO agents are searching for the origin of more leaks.
In fact, Koldo himself has already stated that he was aware that this investigation was being conducted on him.
So far, Koldo hasn't acknowledged any contact with Pardo Piqueras, head of the Police, or with Gámez. Although it is not ruled out that investigators may find that Ábalos's advisor exchanged messages with them. The period that alerts the UCO is from mid-2021, when Pedro Sánchez dismissed Ábalos.
Koldo Case: a New Key Witness Corners the PSOE
The "hydrocarbons case" continues to be the epicenter of multiple scandals surrounding Pedro Sánchez's government. The arrest of businessman Víctor de Aldama was the outcome of new and more serious accusations against high-ranking government officials, including one made by Carmen Pano. Aldama's partner claimed to have delivered 90,000 euros to the national headquarters of the PSOE on Ferraz Street, and now she must testify before Judge Santiago Pedraz.
Businesswoman linked to alleged hydrocarbon VAT fraud and donations to the PSOE summoned
National Court Judge Santiago Pedraz has summoned businesswoman Carmen Pano as a defendant. This is within the framework of the investigation into an alleged multimillion-euro fraud related to the VAT on hydrocarbons.
Carmen Pano, Aldama's partner, who previously claimed to have delivered 90,000 euros in bags to the national headquarters of the PSOE, must appear before the court on March 19.
The case seeks to clarify the details of the alleged fraud and determine if there is a connection between these donations and the irregularities being investigated. Pano's testimony could be key in the development of the case, which has caused great expectation in both the political and judicial spheres.
