Social media mocks Yolanda Díaz after her statement attacking Elon Musk
Musk made a gesture at the end of his speech, which caused the left to leave enraged.
Yolanda Díaz has sparked a new controversy. The left has launched an attack against the magnate and owner of X, Elon Musk, following Donald Trump's inauguration.
When it was his turn to speak, Musk made a gesture at the end of his speech. A gesture joined by a "Thank you for being here. Thank you for making this happen."
A gesture that began with a pat on the chest and ended with an arm extended diagonally, pointing to those present. To those words, Musk continued by turning around and repeating the gesture, placing his hand on the chest over his heart. He added: "My heart is with you," Musk concluded during the event, held at the Capital One Arena in the U.S. capital.
In reply, the left accused him of replicating the Nazi salute. The message from Sumar, a party led by Yolanda Díaz, stands out. On its official X account, the party attacked the magnate, accusing him of "using X for political purposes to support Donald Trump."
"There is no doubt about what Musk's project is. Last night he took another step by emulating the Nazi salute after Donald Trump's inauguration," it explained in its message. In addition, the party claims that "the networks are not his."
Following the message released by the party, users of the social network bought by Musk attacked Yolanda Díaz and Sumar.
"This social network is literally his property. They couldn't be more ignorant. Like any place, if they don't like the rules, they have the freedom to leave, no one is forcing them," explained a user.
Other internet users have decided to be more direct with the politician, sending messages directly addressed to her and her team. "You're desperate and politically finished, you don't know how to get attention. Don't deceive people, there were no Nazi salutes nor are they fascists."
"You took less time to run away from here than you did to report about Errejon, you're a bunch of cowards."
Elon Musk's Reply
The owner of the social network X, Elon Musk, has stated that his critics "need better dirty tricks" to attack him. All this after the controversy that erupted after he was accused of making a Nazi salute during his speech at a celebration event.
Musk was blunt in a message on X: "Frankly, they need better dirty tricks. The attack that 'everyone is Hitler' is worn out," he pointed out. This happened after the flood of criticism on the social network for his gesture, in which he raised his right arm in a manner very similar to the Nazi salute.
