The Case of Sánchez's Brother Continues to Raise Controversies and Doubts. David Sánchez's resignation has only prolonged the process and raised even more suspicions.

However, the investigation has not stopped. Despite everything, the instructor maintains her doubts about the official validity of the annual work reports prepared by David Sánchez. These doubts arise because they lack a date and only present a handwritten signature.

As a result, she has requested explanations from the Legislature on this matter. This latest action aligns with the recent investigations carried out by the head of the Investigative Court Number 3 of Badajoz.

These investigations are motivated by the need to clarify what the specific responsibilities of the investigated were in his role as coordinator of the Badajoz conservatories. Later, as director of the Performing Arts Office.

The functions that David Sánchez was supposed to perform in his first position within the Legislature de Badajoz seem poorly defined. In fact, he himself acknowledged this in an email sent ten months after taking the position in 2017.

Among the documentation seized by the UCO, a message stands out that the musician addressed to Elisa Moriano. The latter was responsible for the creation and assignment of the position he held. In that email, Sánchez's brother expresses the need to clearly establish what his functions would be within the Superior Conservatory to avoid confusion.

"I believe you planned to start defining with me the competencies I will assume in the Superior Conservatory this week before moving forward further. I appreciate it because continuing like this will only generate more confusion," wrote Sánchez.

The UCO highlights this message in its report, especially because of the date it was sent. It was May 28, 2018, that is, ten months after the resolution that determined his appointment. At that time, David Sánchez still did not know what his functions were in one of the conservatories he was supposed to coordinate.

This Is What Sánchez's Brother Has Pocketed During His Time at the Legislature

The truth is that David Sánchez, even having unilaterally resigned from his position at the Legislature de Badajoz, continues to be talked about. It has become known that the Badajoz Legislature decided to expand Sánchez's brother's Opera project.

An expansion that coincides precisely with the ongoing investigation and in the middle of a UCO search. Specifically, the project expansion was signed on July 18 of last year by José María S. S., from the central services of Culture, Sports, and Youth.

That same day, the investigating judge sent UCO agents from the Armed Institute for the second time to search the offices of the Legislature de Badajoz.

However, EDATV has investigated how much Sánchez's brother has earned with that position, which, according to him, he accessed thanks to Google. The sum of money amounts to 273,074.33 euros gross from July 2017 to March 2024. They are distributed over eight fiscal years that don't add up to eight full years.

The breakdown of the amount even shows the change in nomenclature in Sánchez's brother's position. In 2017, as coordinator of activities in conservatories, he pocketed 22,603.82 euros, which makes 3,942.53 euros gross per month.

In 2018, there is an increase of 0.25% from July to December. This translated into 48,044.24 euros gross per year, reaching the figure of 4,020.13 euros gross per month.

The barrier of 4,000 euros gross per month would not drop in the remaining years; on the contrary, that figure has increased. In 2019 and 2020, they were the last years as coordinator of activities in conservatories. This meant he earned 4,111.85 euros gross per month the first year, and in 2020 it was 4,194.12.

From this date, the change in nomenclature appears, and he becomes head of the Performing Arts Office. From 2021 to March 2024, he earns an annual gross of 36,645.65 euros, 54,136.32, and 11,919.73 euros, respectively.

All this adds up to 273,074.33 euros. In the document from which these data are revealed, the leaves of absence from October 1, 2020, to September 30, 2021, are also noted, as well as the 16-week paternity leave that is also reflected.
