To discuss the deferral of a debt. However, the director of the AEAT justified the meeting, arguing that it was a common practice to receive debtors to discuss these matters. Even if they were involved in the irregular purchase and sale of masks during the pandemic.

Despite confirming the meeting, Fernández Doctor avoided specifying whether the debt deferral was ultimately granted. It is worth noting that Aldama had requested Carlos Moreno's mediation to obtain an installment payment of a debt. This was 550,000 euros, after having made an initial advance of 225,000 euros. His intention was to settle the remaining amount in monthly installments over a period of five years.

In return, Moreno would have received an envelope with 25,000 euros in cash from Koldo García and Aldama himself. All according to Aldama's account in a judicial appearance. The delivery of the money supposedly took place in a bar near the Ministry of Finance after the arrangements had been finalized.

However, Carlos Moreno categorically denied these accusations. Supported by Minister Montero, who expressed her absolute confidence in him, he assured that he never received payments from either Aldama or Koldo. Although he did admit to having had a meeting with both on one occasion.
