It comes to light how much money Complutense paid Begoña Gómez
More information comes to light about Begoña Gómez's activities at Complutense
The wife of the President of the Government remains in the eye of the storm. Begoña Gómez received a significant amount of money for the master's programs she directed at the Complutense University of Madrid, the same ones that were canceled due to a lack of students.
The public university certified payments amounting to 55,875 euros to Pedro Sánchez's wife. As revealed this Thursday, Begoña Gómez received the sum of money in different payments. These were adjusted to the editions of her master's programs.

The Complutense decided to cancel Begoña Gómez's courses, charged with several alleged crimes, due to the low number of enrolled students. In the Fundraising course, aimed at raising funds for NGOs, the best year reached eight students. Meanwhile, the second course of Competitive Social Transformation had better numbers, reaching up to 14 enrolled students.
The information about the Complutense's payments to Begoña Gómez was revealed by the digital outlet OkDiaro.
This is how Begoña Gómez inflated the number of students in her master's program to avoid losing sponsors
One of Begoña Gómez's schemes was confirmed in the investigation. Despite her husband Pedro Sánchez's numerous attempts to discredit the judicial investigation, the truth is that Begoña has been charged twice.
The Complutense University of Madrid refuted Begoña Gómez's claims regarding the number of students she has trained. Information that exposes the strategy used by the wife of the President of the Government.
The newspaper VozPópuli claimed that Begoña Gómez inflated the number of students in her master's program. In February 2024, Gómez sent a dossier to one of her sponsors. In it, she claimed to have trained 248 students during her collaboration with the university.
However, the documentation presented to the Investigative Court 41 of Madrid indicated that, in reality, the number of students who participated in her two master's programs only amounts to 171.

This discrepancy of 77 students arose after the deputy director of a sponsor requested a report from Begoña Gómez to evaluate the impact of her educational work. Additionally, Begoña Gómez also claimed to have reached more than 10,000 people through various outreach activities during her time at the Complutense University of Madrid.
It is worth noting how the flow of students in Begoña Gómez's master's program developed. In this regard, during the 2020/2021 academic year, 14 students enrolled in the Master's in Continuing Education in Public and Private Fundraising for NGOs at the Complutense.
The following year, the number dropped to 10 students, remaining the same in the 2023/2024 academic year. This decline led the UCM School of Government to change the class format from in-person to semi-presential. All of this, according to documents presented to the court in the case against Begoña Gómez, which have been published by several media outlets.
The co-director, Begoña Gómez, has trained 137 students with the master's program over the last 11 courses. From its first edition in 2014/2015, with 8 students, to reaching 17 students in the 2022/2023 course, the total number of enrolled students in the master's programs is 171.
