Cristina Álvarez, the advisor to Sánchez's wife who assisted her in the management of the UCM chair, indicted
Judge Juan Carlos Peinado, who is investigating Begoña Gómez, wife of Pedro Sánchez, has charged Cristina Álvarez. However, this has resulted in something that could be very relevant to the case.
Cristina Álvarez carried out her duties as an advisor to Begoña Gómez in Moncloa. The judge charged her for her alleged involvement in the dealings related to the chair at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM).

This charge is motivated by alleged crimes of influence peddling and a business corruption offense. Although the truth is that Judge Peinado charged her with four alleged crimes. Álvarez stated when she testified as a witness that she asked for money for Begoña Gómez's courses as a "personal favor."
However, it goes further, and for this reason, he takes a step forward in the investigation of Pedro Sánchez's wife.
The truth is that one of the judge's requests regarding the advisor to Begoña Gómez tightens the noose around her phone. It is a parallel order to the Central Operational Unit of the Civil Guard to gather her call records.
In this order, the name of the businessman and partner of Begoña Gómez, Barrabés, is also perceived. "The record of calls made and received by Ms. Álvarez from her appointment until today. All related to phones linked to the UCM and its staff and to numbers linked to Mr. (Juan Carlos) Barrabés and his group."

Undoubtedly, an analysis that the judge hopes will clarify and shed more light on the case of Begoña Gómez.
This was the testimony of Begoña Gómez's advisor as a witness
On December 20, Cristina Álvarez appeared in the courts of Plaza de Castilla to testify as a witness in the case involving Begoña Gómez. Her appearance was marked by tension, as reported by La Sexta, she appeared "nervous and hesitant."
Álvarez testified in relation to an investigation into alleged influence peddling, corruption between individuals, professional intrusion, and embezzlement. During her testimony, she explained that her role in Moncloa was to support Begoña Gómez in personal matters, such as organizing events and conferences. She also noted that it was Gómez herself who suggested her appointment to assume secretarial functions, handling personal matters under the Presidency.
Prosecutor Peinado called her attention several times for not answering certain questions and requested her phone number. Despite this, the judge decided to maintain her status as a witness in the process.
When asked about her connection to the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), Álvarez denied any direct relationship with the institution. She clarified that her main function was to manage the president's wife's schedule, which included coordinating her security at various events.
Álvarez also recounted that, after the motion of no confidence that brought Pedro Sánchez to the presidency, she received a call from Begoña Gómez. In that conversation, she proposed becoming her trusted person and advising her in Moncloa. Finally, on July 16, 2018, she began working with the president's wife on a temporary basis.
