This is the public university that will leave X and joins other leftist profiles
The center justified its departure due to the 'significant increase in hate speech, misinformation, and polarization'
The University of A Coruña joins several left-wing profiles. It has decided to suspend its activity on X, Elon Musk's social network, starting next February 1st.
The Governing Council approved the measure in its meeting yesterday, aligning with the stance of the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities. According to the rectorate, the decision aims to promote "a respectful and inclusive digital space."
The public university justified its departure by linking it to the "significant increase in hate speech, misinformation, and polarization."
With this measure, UDC joins a growing number of universities, media outlets, and public figures who have decided to leave Elon Musk's social network.

Among them, the University of Santiago de Compostela stands out, having made the same decision last December. Additionally, X has seen its number of users decrease with the departure of parties like Sumar Galicia. Second Vice President of the Government, Yolanda Díaz, stands out.
Díaz herself dedicated a message attacking the magnate and owner of X. Through the social network of the formation, they attacked Musk, accusing him of "using X for political purposes to support Donald Trump."
"There is no doubt about what Musk's project is. Last night he took another step by emulating the Nazi salute after Donald Trump's inauguration," she explained in her message. In addition, the party claims that "the networks are not his."
In reply to the message released by the formation, users of the social network bought by Musk attacked Yolanda Díaz and Sumar.

"This social network is literally his property. They couldn't be more ignorant. Like any place, if they don't like the rules, they have the freedom to leave, no one forces them," explained a user.
Other internet users have decided to be more direct with the politician, and have sent messages directly addressed to her and her team. "You are desperate and politically finished, you don't know how to get attention. Don't deceive people, there were no Nazi salutes nor are they fascists."
"You took less time to run away from here than you did to tell the story about Errejon, you're a bunch of cowards."
