Carlos Mazón met with technicians and authorities at the Castellón Emergency Coordination Center

The President of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, has moved to the Emergency Coordination Center in Castellón to monitor the episode of heavy rains affecting the interior of the province, especially in the Alto Palancia region, where the red alert level is maintained.

Mazón, joined by the President of the Castellón Provincial Council, Marta Barrachina, has participated in the operational meeting of the Provincial Fire Consortium, which has reinforced its presence in the area's stations to address possible incidents resulting from the rainfall.

The head of the Consell has urged the population to take extreme precautions and follow the instructions of the emergency service 1.1.2 at all times. The Generalitat recommends avoiding unnecessary travel, not crossing flood-prone areas, and respecting the traffic cuts established by the authorities.

Additionally, the importance of not engaging in activities in riverbeds or areas near rivers is emphasized, as well as seeking refuge in high areas or upper floors if residing in areas at risk of flooding.

Carlos Mazón has reiterated the Consell's commitment to the safety of the citizens and has made all necessary resources available to the affected municipalities to minimize the impact of the rains.

In case of emergency, the Generalitat recommends using the phone number 112 to request assistance or additional information.
