Pilar Bernabé Lied as It Was Proven That Mazón Hadn't Arrived at Cecopi
The Consell's version thus dismantles the accusation that the decision to issue the alert was delayed until the arrival of the head of the Consell.
Bernabé Is Exposed After It Is Proven That Mazón Was Not at Cecopi Before the Alert Message Was Sent
The Government Delegate in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has been called into question after a Generalitat official certified that President Carlos Mazón was not at Cecopi before the alert message for the DANA on October 29 was sent. The Consell's version thus dismantles the accusation that the decision to issue the alert was delayed until the arrival of the head of the Consell, a theory that the PSPV has maintained since the beginning of the controversy.
The Vice President of the Consell, Susana Camarero, has accused Bernabé of "deliberately lying" and has demanded explanations after it was proven that the ES-ALERT message was sent at 8:11 p.m. without Mazón being present at Cecopi or participating in its drafting or decision.
The Government Delegate has maintained in several public statements that she saw Mazón before the message was sent, which in the Consell's view is "categorically false" and proves a political manipulation by the PSOE to undermine the regional government.
From the Valencian Executive, they recall that the socialist accusation has been changing as their arguments were dismantled. Initially, it was claimed that Cecopi delayed the notice to wait for Mazón. Later, it was argued that the president was not informed of the situation. Finally, when it was proven that the decision was made without his presence, the version changed again without clarifying the contradiction.
The Consell also accuses the PSOE of using the DANA tragedy for political purposes instead of focusing on managing aid for those affected. Additionally, they remind that the central government committed to reinforcing security in the affected areas and speeding up procedures for the victims, but there are still residents waiting for solutions.
The controversy over Cecopi is framed in a climate of growing tension between the Generalitat and the Government delegation, with cross-accusations about the management of the emergency and communication with local administrations. Meanwhile, the Consell insists that official data confirm their version, while the PSOE maintains that there were errors in decision-making and crisis coordination.
