Peruvian Businessman Reports Death Threats After Accusing Ábalos of Corruption
According to the businessman, the former minister aimed to keep Spanish public money through corrupt practices
Peruvian businessman Segundo Valle has reported death threats after making serious accusations against former Spanish minister José Luis Ábalos. Valle, who was a partner of Ábalos, revealed that the former minister asked him to inflate public contracts and then demanded commissions of up to 50%. These accusations were shared on social media through Iker Jiménez and will be part of his program on Horizonte.
In an interview with El Debate, Valle explained that Ábalos used him as a front man. According to the businessman, the former minister aimed to pocket Spanish public money through corrupt practices. Valle also mentioned that he is willing to testify before the Supreme Court to confirm his serious allegations against Ábalos.

The Peruvian businessman detailed that, in addition to the corruption accusations, Ábalos is linked to a property in Chimbote, Peru, which was built with grants intended for charitable projects. Valle explained that Ábalos's representative in the Andean country, Jénifer Balta Cueva, confessed to him that the former minister and his team attempted to sell the property for 1.2 million dollars.
According to Valle, Koldo García and Claudio Rivas, a businessman involved in the hydrocarbon scheme being investigated by the National Court, were allegedly involved in the sale of the property. Valle's statements provide crucial details on how Ábalos and his associates allegedly attempted to divert public funds for personal gain.

The accusations have caused a great stir both in Spain and Peru, where authorities are beginning to investigate the events. Valle has expressed his willingness to fully cooperate with Spanish and Peruvian authorities, making it clear that his intention is for the truth to come to light.
He asserts that he is not afraid of the threats received and is willing to take his testimony to the appropriate judicial instances.
Valle's complaint not only calls into question the integrity of former minister Ábalos but also highlights the alleged connection between political and business corruption. The investigation is gaining significance, and experts claim that this case could have high-level implications.
Meanwhile, Ábalos has denied all accusations against him, calling them unfounded. He has assured that he has nothing to do with the alleged events and will defend his honor and reputation.
