The Pegasus program resurfaces following the judge's request and makes Sánchez tremble
The request from the head of Central Investigative Court Number 4 also extends to Israel
The Pegasus program is once again making headlines. The magistrate of the National Court, José Luis Calama, decided this Thursday to issue a European investigation order. It's directed at the Vice President of the Economic and Financial Division of the Paris Judicial Court.
This body is responsible for the investigation into the infiltration carried out with the Pegasus software. The purpose of this measure is to facilitate a more detailed exchange of information about this espionage system.

With this, the judge seeks to access the data provided by the NSO Group company. Related to the internal control mechanisms of said program.
But also, to obtain a more exhaustive report on the technical analyses carried out by the French National Agency for Information Systems Security.
In addition to the request to France, the head of the Central Investigative Court Number 4 has extended his request to Israel. Simultaneously, he has sent a new letter rogatory to the Israeli judicial authorities.

In it, he emphasizes the need to receive the information requested from NSO Group, "the company responsible for the development and commercialization of the Pegasus software." He has also requested the testimony of its CEO to identify those responsible for the investigated events.
The program that forced Sánchez to change his phone
The hacking of Sánchez's phone, almost two years ago, has new consequences. After it was discovered that the phone of the President of the Government, as well as those of ministers Margarita Robles and Fernando Grande-Marlaska, were infiltrated by the Pegasus software.
Which allows data theft, the Executive has decided to implement a new encryption system on mobile phones to enhance their security, according to the newspaper El País.
The change process will be divided into two stages. The first will consist of modifying the necessary infrastructures to support the new encryption network. According to the aforementioned media, it will be executed by a majority publicly-owned company, Epicom, along with the participation of Indra and Oesía.
The second phase will focus on contracting the encryption network itself. It will be where the same company in charge of the infrastructure will compete alongside Telefónica.
Regardless of the encryption system that is finally selected, it must have the validation of the National Cryptologic Center. An organization that is part of the National Intelligence Center (CNI).
This system change occurs in a context where cyberattacks on public institutions and private companies have increased in recent years. However, it is evident that the fact that government phones were confirmed to be targeted in an attack, likely carried out by a foreign power, has also influenced.
The latest annual report from the Cryptologic Center points to China, North Korea, and Iran. They are considered the main "cyber powers that pose a threat to Spain." However, one of the major threats is also Morocco in relation to the Pegasus case.
