Patricia Uriz, Koldo's ex-partner, confirms her attendance at Senate committee
Uriz had been summoned for March 10, but the Senate decided to postpone the appearance without providing clear explanations.
Patricia Uriz, Koldo García's ex-partner, has confirmed that she will attend the Senate's investigation committee this Friday. Despite the postponement of her appearance by the PP's absolute majority, the attorney assures that Patricia will attend as established in the summons.
Uriz had been summoned for March 10, but the Senate decided to postpone the appearance without providing clear explanations. Uriz's lawyer, in an email addressed to the Senate, has indicated that the summoned will attend this Friday, as planned. Additionally, she has emphasized that a notarial record will be drawn up in case the committee doesn't take place, documenting her attendance.
The email sent by Patricia Uriz's defense emphasizes that Koldo García's ex-partner had confirmed her attendance before the postponement. The attorney also criticized that they have not been formally informed of the cancellation of the appearance.

In her letter published by Europa Press, Patricia Uriz expressed that she has a young daughter and that it is difficult to organize her plans with such short notice. Therefore, she requested understanding and asked for her appearance to be maintained as planned.
Uriz's defense argues that if the new summons is made through the BOE, it would be difficult for her client to find out the date. Since, according to the attorney, "ordinary citizens do not usually read the BOE." The attorney also emphasized the importance of maintaining the appointment, given the public relevance of the case.
As for Patricia Uriz, she is a woman born in Pamplona in 1976, who was a member of the PSOE. Along with her ex-husband, Koldo García, she was a well-known figure within the PSN of Huarte, a town near Pamplona.

Koldo García became a PSN councilor in the 2011 municipal elections. In the following municipal elections, Patricia headed the PSN list, although she was not elected. However, she maintained her connection with the party and held the position of Social Welfare spokesperson in the PSN Executive.
Her political career was consolidated with the pandemic. Patricia Uriz was appointed without any opposition to a position as a secretary's assistant in the Ministry of Transport, led by José Luis Ábalos.
This position, one of the highest she could aspire to due to her training in Tourism Activities and Occupational Risks. This sparked controversy due to the lack of specific experience in the Transport sector.
