Mazón Approves a New Line of Direct Aid for the DANA

The First Vice President of the Executive, Susana Camarero, has highlighted the speed with which these aids are being processed, in contrast to the bureaucratic slowness of the Government

The Valencian Government of Carlos Mazón will approve this Tuesday in a Plenary session a new decree that establishes a line of direct aid to address the damage caused by the DANA, endowed with 13.6 million euros. These funds come from the contribution of the Senate of Spain for the affected areas and will be allocated to non-profit associations, foundations, and federative associations with the aim of repairing damaged facilities in 103 Valencian municipalities affected by the flood on October 29.

The First Vice President of the Executive, Susana Camarero, has highlighted the speed with which these aids are being processed, in contrast to the bureaucratic slowness of the Government of Spain. The Valencian Executive has streamlined the procedures so that the resources reach those who need them most immediately.

The direct aid will be aimed at associations of retirees, fallas, brotherhoods, music bands, and sports clubs, among others. Each entity may receive up to 20,000 euros to repair damaged infrastructure, equipment, and materials, and up to an additional 13,000 euros for community revitalization activities and support for their own activity. This measure seeks not only the physical recovery of the facilities but also to promote the associative fabric in the affected municipalities.

At the event for the delivery of two Kawai Spain grand pianos to the conservatories of Utiel and Catarroja, also affected by the DANA, Susana Camarero announced the possibility for these centers to apply for the new aid for the recovery of essential instruments for the training of their students. Additionally, the Generalitat has processed emergency contracts worth 260,000 euros to supply material and ensure the normal functioning of academic activity in these conservatories.

With these actions, the Valencian Government reaffirms its commitment to the recovery of the areas affected by the DANA, showing effective management and sensitivity to the needs of the citizens.
