The Key Fact About Begoña Gómez's Software That Has Been Unveiled
Begoña Gómez never completed one of the most important procedures regarding the software
The case of Begoña Gómez, the wife of the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, continues to make headlines. Recently, new information about the controversial software has been revealed by the Complutense University of Madrid.
The Complutense held several meetings with Begoña Gómez and her secretary at La Moncloa, Cristina Álvarez. This was with the aim of registering software developed within the framework of the chair directed by Gómez. However, despite the meetings and email exchanges, the procedures were not completed, and the registration in the name of the university was never carried out.

Instead, Begoña Gómez registered in her name a brand identical to the platform created for the UCM, a fact that is now under judicial investigation.
According to OKDIARIO, the academic institution sent the president's wife the model contract for the assignment of rights. This was so that the ownership of the software would be "100% of the Complutense." However, the process remained incomplete.
Additionally, the university sent Sánchez's wife the necessary form to register the intellectual property of the software. But in the documentation sent to the judge, the Complutense indicates that there is no record that this procedure was completed.

The contact between the accused Begoña Gómez, her assistant, and the UCM began in September 2022. From the university's Office of Research Results Transfer, they were asked to complete a form to formalize the registration.
Cristina Álvarez, Begoña Gómez's secretary at La Moncloa, presented herself in the procedures as a "collaborator" of the Chair of Competitive Social Transformation, directed by Pedro Sánchez's wife.
In an email sent after one of the meetings, the Director of Programs of the Presidency of the Government thanked for the information received on patents, trademarks, and intellectual property. She also requested the necessary requirements to begin the registration. However, the university never formalized the software's registration in its name.
This process is one of the key points in the judicial investigation opened against Begoña Gómez. She is currently being investigated for alleged irregularities in the development and registration of the technological platform linked to the chair she directs.
