The key document that dismantles Sánchez's brother's statement
The brother of the President of the Government has a rough legal road ahead.
The case of the Prime Minister's brother, instead of becoming clearer after David Sánchez's statement, became darker. Last week, Pedro Sánchez's brother sat in the defendant's chair, a hearing that marked a before and after in the case. Although the musician apparently suffered a kind of "semi-amnesia," a report from the Diputación de Badajoz exposes him.
Supposedly, the Prime Minister's brother secured a position at the Diputación de Badajoz through a process marked by discretion. This, according to information derived from official documentation published by El Debate.
In his statement before the judge, Sánchez didn't offer details about the process, leaving doubts about whether he doesn't remember the events or prefers not to.
According to an internal report cited by the media, the hiring was done after a subjective interview. The same was endorsed by a direct decision from Miguel Ángel Gallardo, leader of the Extremaduran PSOE and also charged in the case. This appointment coincided with the time when Pedro Sánchez was regaining the general secretariat of the PSOE.
The process was backed by key figures in the party. On one hand, allegedly, the selection of the candidate was allowed to depend on discretionary criteria. On the other, those criteria were supposedly applied to benefit the Prime Minister's brother, as revealed by the published documentation.
Questions about Sánchez's Brother's Resume and Lack of a University Degree
Pedro Sánchez's brother remains in the eye of the storm. New information puts David Sánchez on the ropes after it was revealed that he secured his position at the Diputación with the worst resume.
He secured it in the summer of 2017, ahead of eight other resumes better than his. This is reported by THE OBJECTIVE, in its digital edition. The truth is that those applicants for the position provided data about their life and career with a Higher Degree from the Conservatory.
And certifying that they had previously achieved the Intermediate and Elementary degrees, showing the names of the centers where they received that title. Meanwhile, according to the aforementioned media, Sánchez's brother doesn't indicate where he studied in Spain.
Some of these applicants and competitors of Sánchez's brother showed the details of Plan 66. This is where a series of subjects with their corresponding levels are required to acquire the higher qualification. These are official and regulated musical subjects that, in many cases, extend for more than 10 years.
Among these applicants, many demonstrated great professional careers within the qualification of orchestra conducting. And who also work in Philharmonics with qualifications in other instruments.
With Pedagogical Adaptation Courses enabled to teach (CAP) to ESO and Baccalaureate students. These courses emphasize the importance of the pedagogical character for this position.
There were also teachers from institutes and conservatories, not to mention those who showed national and international recognition and merits. Awards and distinctions, clarifying when they are guest conductors and when they are assistants.
However, according to the aforementioned media, Sánchez's brother didn't mention a university degree.
They also indicate the origin, level, and qualification of his language training. And something highly valued in this musical universe: there is even a concertmaster. This is a first violinist who can be in charge of coordinating and leading the string section.
However, David Sánchez presented some anomalies in his resume. He didn't present any musical training in Spain.
He notes in writing, without specifying, nothing more than graduation in the chairs of Composition, Professor of Music Theory. And Operatic Conducting and Symphony Orchestra at the State Conservatory of St. Petersburg. But there is no trace of Spain.
