EDATV Who is Reyes Maroto's number two who met with Aldama at the Ministry?
It was the first meeting of the hydrocarbons scheme in one of Sánchez's government ministries.
The hydrocarbon plot and Aldama continue to haunt Pedro Sánchez's government. More specifically, Reyes Maroto after claiming she didn't know Víctor de Aldama.
However, new information claims that Reyes Maroto's number two did meet with the businessman on two occasions. This is revealed by the newspaper THE OBJECTIVE, which, according to the Civil Guard, placed the meetings in the Industry department in February 2021.
The truth is that the newly revealed documents indicate that the meetings were held in ministerial offices. It was to manage the granting of a hydrocarbon operator title to the company Villafuel SL in December 2020. Just two months after businesswoman Carmen Pano claimed she made payments of 90,000 euros at the PSOE headquarters in Ferraz.
The meeting was held at the behest of Koldo García on behalf of the former Minister of Transport, Ábalos, according to the aforementioned media. However, the first to give the go-ahead to the administration's entry into the scheme was the number two of the then Minister Reyes Maroto.

Who is Reyes Maroto's Number Two?
Juan Ignacio Díaz Bidart was the Director of the Cabinet of the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Tourism from 2018 to 2022.

Additionally, he has been an associate professor at UC3M since 2006. There he taught the subjects Public Economics, Industrial Organization, Financial Management, and Game Theory.
He also taught at the University of Barcelona in the European Master's in Consumer Affairs. Promoted by DGSANCO and in the Master's in Restaurant Management at the University Ceu-Gasma in Castellón. He has been a speaker on Tourism and entrepreneurship topics.
He was a councilor for 12 years in the Torrelodones City Council.
According to OkDiario, he is allegedly described as a senior official of the Executive who operates in the shadows, with a reputation for "accumulating a lot of power." According to sources close to the case, his activities could have negative repercussions for Reyes Maroto.
