Key day for the Government: Aldama appears this Thursday in the Canary Islands commission
Aldama was already drafted last month, but he wasn't properly notified.
Aldama can once again put the Government in check. This Thursday, starting at 10 a.m., the investigation commission will take place in the Canary Islands. The Parliament has extended the investigation commission for four months, so it will conclude in May.
This commission is framed around the purchase of medical supplies during the covid-19 pandemic. It should be noted that Aldama was already summoned last month, but he was not properly notified as he was in provisional detention as a suspect in the hydrocarbons scheme. Initially, he is expected to appear before the commission this Thursday at the request of the CC, PP, and Vox groups.

However, Aldama is not the only one called to testify. Antonio Olivera, chief of staff of Minister Ángel Víctor Torres, and former director of the Canary Islands Health Service in the last Legislature, will also testify. Ricardo Pérez, former Deputy Minister of Communication of the Government of the Canary Islands, will also appear.
Aldama claims that WhatsApp messages from Government members have disappeared
Víctor De Aldama once again puts Pedro Sánchez's Government against the ropes. In a document sent to the investigating courts number 5, accessed by EDATV, he responds to the PSOE. All after Sánchez's party requested to imprison Aldama.
In the document, in one of the sections, Aldama shows his interest in continuing to collaborate with Justice. He also claims that a device "contains relevant information for clarifying the facts referred to in this procedure."

The document continues with the content of the devices:
"In particular, the mentioned device contains a wide list of contacts. Even with current Government members, Chiefs of Staff, or heads of public companies, with whom WhatsApp communications of interest were maintained."
However, he claims that there are specific WhatsApp messages he can't access that relate to Government members.
"After an initial analysis, although relevant data is already available, it appears necessary for us to be provided with the iPhone devices." The same ones that were seized to "be able to perform new partial extractions, having noted, according to a forensic expert report, that some of the WhatsApp replys from Government members."
Aldama claims that this is not the case with other interlocutors. While with Government contacts, they appear with a message saying "the security code has changed." Something that "prevents accessing their content."
Aldama responds to the PSOE's request
In Aldama and his defense's opinion, the PSOE's request to send him to prison presents "an unequivocal coercive and intimidating content." All after pointing out in the document that "the PSOE, since his release, initiated a campaign of defamation and discredit against Mr. Víctor Aldama. And promoted several actions, such as the request for a license to proceed for defamation offenses."
