The Unusual Justification for Sánchez's Brother's Attendance at Work on Paper
The provincial administration delivered the activity reports one day before David Sánchez resigned.
Sánchez's Brother and the Badajoz Provincial Council Are in the News Again. The Badajoz Provincial Council has presented documents with dates and handwritten signatures to justify David Sánchez's work activity.
That is, dates and signatures by hand from the brother of the Prime Minister, between 2017 and 2025. This detail has piqued the judge's interest, as, being official documentation, it is usually expected to have electronic signatures.

These reports, a total of eight activity reports, were sent to the Investigative Court number 3 of Badajoz on February 4. Precisely one day before David Sánchez submitted his resignation. The investigation seeks to clarify whether he was actually performing his duties in the position he held.
The newspaper El Independiente has published those handwritten signatures with a blue ink pen on the printed sheet. Something that has obviously caught the judge's attention.
How Sánchez's Brother Benefits from Spain While Paying Taxes in Portugal
The latest controversy points directly to that medical leave that David Sánchez presented at the Badajoz Provincial Council.
But not only that, let's remember that last week he submitted his resignation from the position as head of the Performing Arts Office of the Council.

Now, that medical leave is generating controversy again. He will benefit from Spanish Social Security while paying income tax in Portugal. From now on, David Sánchez will be entitled to receive a benefit, although fiscally he continues to pay taxes in a special way in Elvas.
All after he was granted the non-habitual resident regime of Portugal and has a cross-border worker permit.
Sánchez's brother's strategy is clear, to take a medical leave that will replace the three months' notice. The period that contemplates the termination of a voluntary contract, for which he should be paid.
His Father's Donation to Use Madrid's Tax Benefits
However, it is not the first time Sánchez's brother has tried to benefit from Spain. To this latest move, we add the donation his father also made to him in Madrid. A donation he would use to buy the mansion in Elvas.
He saved €42,600 by paying taxes in Madrid on that donation. Sánchez's brother managed to save 42,600 euros by taking advantage of the tax benefits of the Community of Madrid. This calculation comes from the donation of 240,000 euros he received from his father.
From there, David Sánchez would have used the necessary financial resources to acquire the mansion in Elvas.
