Sánchez's Brother's Insistent Desire to Bring Music to Prison
The case is still under investigation and more details are expected to emerge that will clarify the irregularities in its management.
David Sánchez continues to be the protagonist of a case involving alleged irregularities in his job position. Since his incorporation in 2017 as the coordinator of the conservatories of Badajoz, doubts about his performance and activities have continued to grow.
During his time at the Legislature de Badajoz, David Sánchez has been mainly responsible for organizing operas. However, records show that, in seven years of work, he only held six recitals. This has caused criticism about the effectiveness of his management.
Despite the high salaries he has received, which exceed 250,000 euros, his operatic production has been limited.
His main task has been the organization of four operas, but they have only been presented on six occasions. The first of these, L'elisir d'amore, was performed only once in November 2019 in Badajoz.
In November 2021, he organized El Gato con botas, which also had a single performance. The other two productions were Gianni Schicchi and La paz perpetua, which were presented only in two locations: Badajoz, Hornachos, and Herrera del Duque.

Reports from the UCO in the context of the investigation have revealed some details about David Sánchez's insistence on bringing music to unexpected places, such as penitentiary centers.
According to an email sent in July 2017, Sánchez expressed his desire to bring music to the prison. This proposal was received by his then-boss, Elisa Moriano, provincial deputy of the PSOE.
The brother of President Sánchez insisted on the idea, and in September of the same year, he forwarded another email to revisit the proposal. In this message, he mentioned that the activity could be carried out with students or teachers from the conservatory, which once again showed his determination to fulfill his objective.
Finally, David Sánchez managed to carry out his concert at the Badajoz Penitentiary Center. According to the words he himself conveyed to his boss, the reception was positive. "The inmates actively participated with flamenco claps in some of the works."

However, this recital has continued to generate controversy due to the way it was managed and the perception of its political connection.
Despite the relevance of his activities, the documents submitted to the summary have not shown any notable activity in 2023. The only one documented is an educational trip made on March 15, linked to the production La voz humana / La espera. This lack of additional projects has further fueled doubts about David Sánchez's role in the Legislature.
The case continues to be investigated, and more details are expected to be uncovered to clarify the irregularities in his management. Society is waiting for the competent authorities to provide more explanations about the true scope of David Sánchez's actions during his time in office.
