The Government offers aid to Palestine while ignoring the problems of Spaniards

Pedro Sánchez's administration seems to prioritize foreign aid while failing to address pressing issues within the country.

The government of Spain has decided to send significant sums of money and humanitarian aid to other countries, like Palestine. While maintaining an indifferent attitude toward the urgent needs facing its own people.

Health Minister Mónica García has expressed her satisfaction with the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. Highlighting that Spain is committed to collaborating with the WHO to provide health and humanitarian assistance to those affected in Gaza.

The announcement was made during the presentation of the 2024 donation and transplant report, where the minister stated that Spain "is going to rise to the challenge of this humanitarian crisis."

Although international solidarity is important, questions arise about why the government is allocating resources to other countries. While forgetting critical internal issues.

The situation of those affected by the volcano in La Palma, for example, remains an unsolved issue without an effective solution. Those affected by the recent DANA in Valencia have also been left helpless.  Without receiving the attention they need to recover their homes and lives.

Pedro Sánchez's administration seems to prioritize foreign aid while not addressing the pressing problems within the country.

Among them, the lack of support for the treatment of ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) patients and cancer patients stands out. Who have been crying out for improved treatments and greater investment in research.

Instead, the government has announced it will allocate humanitarian aid of 24 million euros to Gaza. Which could reach up to 50 million, as a measure to alleviate the crisis in the region. This decision has been met with strong criticism from the political party Vox.

Vox, through its spokesperson, has questioned the logic behind this foreign aid. The party claims that the government is more focused on sending money to countries like Palestine, Morocco, Lebanon, and Mali. While not allocating a single euro to address Spain's internal needs.

Vox Has Lamented the Lack of Resources for Spaniards

On its account on the social network X, Vox has lamented the lack of resources for national problems. Like the crisis in La Palma, the damage caused by the DANA and the lack of attention to ALS and cancer patients.

Santiago Abascal's party considers that the government's "solidarity" is directed to all countries, except for the Spanish citizens themselves. Who feel that their taxes are not being invested in their well-being.

This discontent with the government's foreign and humanitarian aid policy has sparked a debate in society. Many citizens feel abandoned while resources are allocated to situations beyond national borders.

The situation in La Palma, after the volcanic eruption, remains unsolved. Leaving the affected residents without the necessary support to rebuild their lives.

The government's promises of aid have been insufficient. Many wonder why the money intended for reconstruction is being diverted to other international destinations.
