This is the date for Ayuso's boyfriend's statement before the judge in his case
González Amador must appear at the Court of Instruction No. 19 for alleged tax offenses
Alberto González Amador, partner of the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, already has a date for his statement before the judge for alleged tax offenses.
Next Friday, February 7, the boyfriend of the Madrid president must appear at the Court of Instruction number 19 of Madrid. This is within the framework of the case being pursued against him for the alleged commission of two tax offenses.
The summons takes place following the request of the Madrid Prosecutor's Office to Judge Inmaculada Iglesias to take a statement from Isabel Díaz Ayuso's boyfriend. Given that the investigation period ends in March.
In a written statement, the prosecutor argued that it was not possible to further postpone the appearances of González Amador and other investigated individuals. Because the twelve-month period for the investigation was about to expire without the accused being heard.
Judge Iglesias had suspended last November the statement of González Amador. It was scheduled for the 29th, pending the resolution of an appeal filed by his defense with the Provincial Court of Madrid. This, against the opening of a separate piece related to possible additional offenses.
The Confession of the Superior Prosecutor of Madrid That Firmly Threatens García Ortiz
The investigation by Magistrate Ángel Hurtado against Attorney General Álvaro García Ortiz continues its course in the Supreme Court. This Thursday, Almudena Lastra, superior prosecutor of Madrid, ratified her testimony before the Supreme Court, expanding relevant details of the case.
In her statement, Lastra reiterated that the press published confidential information that could only have come from the Prosecutor's Office itself.
The prosecutor explained that she participated in drafting an informative note to refute "errors" disseminated about the González Amador case. However, she assured that she doesn't take responsibility for the content, pointing out that it included confidential data that should not have been published.
Lastra detailed a conversation held on March 14 with the attorney general after reading news about an email sent to prosecutor Julián Salto. According to Lastra, when asked if he leaked the information, García Ortiz replied: "That doesn't matter now," avoiding a direct clarification.
That same day, Lastra noticed that the press had access to data not shared with either the defense of the investigated or the Dean's Office. For this reason, she insisted that the leak could only have originated from the Prosecutor's Office, increasing the suspicions against García Ortiz.
The economic crimes prosecutor, Julián Salto, also appeared this Thursday to provide key data for the development of the investigation. Salto is leading the case against González Amador, partner of Isabel Díaz Ayuso, for alleged economic and tax offenses.
The investigation seeks to determine if García Ortiz leaked confidential information, which could constitute a crime of revealing secrets. On January 29, García Ortiz must appear before the Supreme Court as an investigated party for these accusations.
