Everything You Didn't Know About Jésica, Ábalos's Close Friend

The 'Koldo case' scandal has implicated several people since it came to light. Among them, one of the most controversial figures has been the "close friend" of former minister José Luis Ábalos, Jéssica Rodríguez García.

The young woman allegedly joined Ábalos on official trips and lived in the luxurious apartment that, according to the UCO Operational Unit, was paid for with money from 'the scheme'. Furthermore, before enjoying the benefits of her close relationship with the former minister of Pedro Sánchez, the young woman had a completely different lifestyle.

Before making her way into the world of modeling and brand promotion as an image hostess, Jéssica developed her work experience in the commercial sector. She worked as a sales assistant in a well-known clothing store within a department store and also in a company specializing in suitcases. Her time at these companies allowed her to acquire skills in customer service and sales before making the leap to her career in fashion and advertising.

Jéssica Rodríguez, former partner of José Luis Ábalos, worked between 2009 and 2016 as an image hostess in various event companies, especially promoting alcoholic beverages.

According to the resume she presented to Ineco, from 2016 until her hiring in 2019, facilitated by Ábalos and Koldo García, she did not receive any salary income.

Additionally, since 2013, her profile appeared in a model catalog. Photographs of her, taken by different professionals, were found on electronic devices seized by the Civil Guard in the framework of the Koldo case. Her image appeared on the internet alongside other models.

Her "Companion" on Official Trips

Jéssica's trips with Ábalos were quite a scandal, but the trips were not everything. The information surrounding this mysterious woman was nowhere near what has recently come to light. But let's go back to the past and remember when the scandals about José Luis Ábalos's "companion" began.

Investigators do not present evidence about the commercial component of the relationship, but they do reveal the payment for the property where this young woman resided from March 2019 to September 2021. Payments were made through Víctor de Aldama, leader of a network with Ábalos at the top.

The UCO estimates the payments for 32 monthly installments for a top-level apartment in the Torre de Madrid building in Plaza de España at 88,000 euros. However, the 2,700 euros per month that the 'Ábalos scheme' covered for Jéssica are only part of the payments made during the two years of their relationship.

In just the first seven months, Jéssica requested a total of 39,300 euros for joining the then Minister of Transport. This amount of money for 33 official trips and party events. According to several media outlets.

According to information published by the digital THE OBJECTIVE, emails revealed the excessive amount of money Jéssica asked Ábalos per trip. Allegedly, the young woman demanded a fee of 1,500 euros per day from the former minister for each accompaniment during the first months.

However, these amounts decreased over time, as Jéssica reproached Ábalos in a new email, according to the mentioned digital publication. In these communications, dated July 2019, the young woman acknowledged the payments made by the then minister and secretary of Organization of the PSOE. But she also complained about the reduction in her income:
